From everything that i've read and listened to in interviews and such... The guys that the schnieder and carol have hired are not the most talented guys, but they are guys that study the game and study the opponent and play as a team. They come to each game more prepared than the other team.

I'm afraid that some of them might get lazy and think that they can do it with pure talent. I hope the coaches can keep that fire lit under their butt

Kam, is the nicest guy off the field too. I have a friend who ran into him at a grocery store in Kirkland, my buddy started a conversation about the Hawks, he was the most down to earth guy you could ask for. My bud said he was HUGE! thumbs

Schneider/carol have proven the fact that everyone must compete or be replaced. I saw somewhere that since carol has come to seattle he has mowed through a lot of players or the term is retool.

Congrats to John Schnieder's staff. The Hawks college scout is a local coaches son. Hawks have found value with lower draft picks. San Diego's college scout is also a local.

that's some stupid reasoning that they are not the most talented guys. look at all the guys over the years who are absolute 1st round flops in the nfl. it doesn't matter wear a guy gets drafted or falls under the undrafted free agent status. quality players can be found any where in a draft season.

IMO, the Hawks need to extend his contract now before they win another SB and he wants more than Flacco money.

They should start working on a Thomas extension too.

They can't give him a contract extension. The CBA doesn't allow rookie contracts to be extended until the end of their 3d year.

Sound FX is on the NFL network right now.
It is audio of mic'd up players.

I watched it too. I like how even the refs commented that this SB is going to one of the best ever.

I liked how RW kept his team pumped up and stating "why not us? "

RW will has years of maturity for a guy finishing his 2nd year with a ring.

Malcom Smith has to start next year. thumbs

Irvin is seemingly invisible at times, and when Smith has gotten the chance he's been outstanding.

Irvins stats in 12 starts- 40 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 PD, 1 int (8 yards), 1 FF
In Smiths 8 starts-43 tackles, 1 sack, 3 PD, 2 ints (69 yards and a td, both 30+ yards), 1 FF

In Smiths starts they allowed 11.4 ppg, they went 7-1, allowed 254.9 yards per game, all better stats than our season average.

Then take their 3 playoff games where Smith had

23 tackles, 2 pd's, 2 ints (69 yards, 1 td, 1 game sealer),, 1 fumble recovery

while Irvin had... 5 tackles.... thats it.

Can we safely say the Irvin at LB experiment is over and give smith the spot? On a side note malcolm smith is 1 year 8 months YOUNGER than Irvin as well.

NFL expert opinions of Seahawk’s 2012 Draft

Pretty hilarious reading about Wilson and others.

Donald Wood, Bleacher Report
Gave Seattle an “F” grade. Drafting Wilson was “by far the worst move of the draft.” Drafting Wilson and Irvin were “the two worst moves of the draft.”

Jason Cole, Yahoo Sports
Gave an “D-” grade overall. Says Russell Wilson will “be lucky to be Seneca Wallace” and the Seahawks “are no closer to solving the QB situation now than they were before 2011.”

More expert rofl opinions included.

One of my favorite aspects of this SB victory is that it proved that the football media are often totally full of it, and that statistics may not matter.

Often with stats, you might be comparing apples to oranges and they simply do not work.

The guy who predicted a 38 to 13 victory for the Hawks was was hated on NFL.com. You should look up the reaction. People called him retarded.

Chris Clemons is getting old. Sidney Rice isn't better than Baldwin,Tate,Lockette,or Harvin. Russell Okung is made of glass.

Send them all packing.

Clemons will be gone unless he takes a serious pay cut. Rice is tough, but we did and will continue to do just fine without him...he's gone. Zach Miller is gone, too much money to pay a guy who mostly blocks, even if he's good at it.

That clears up a bit of room right there.

Fish on...

Todd

hey hanky,
I'm gonna forward all your suggestions to Petey... I know you want the best for the seahawks, and I want to make sure your ideas are known at the very top of the organization...

who knows, Maybe some of those brittle players might benifit from a personal xray tech on staff.
