Have you read any of his work. I think the contrary opinion should always be studied as much if not more than work that parallels your world view. At this point in time I think everyone should read the Zinn Reader. Spicifically the ignorant left or right but also moderates , and conservatives. A bunch of it is tripe but there are some very valid views and it will help you see the real America not just the one you want to see or where taught. You must trust me on this point.

Exactly. However this thought process rules the day in America. Both sides paint a picture that skews reality to their world view. He does however make some good points. On race he absolutely skewers the liberal apologist as being self serving racist and blacks for using them to their advantage.

The state is a collection of people not an organism . It's like a schizophrenic , it depends on the voice on control at that time. The wars currently being waged are economic wars and the Vietnam war was an economic war in the sense that it was part of greater plan to banko the soviets. The current issue in Ukraine is an economic act to limit expansion of Russia's vast natural resources as a political tool. I enjoy contrarian theory .

No matter how they color it up, every war is an economic war.
