Best Factory 270 Win deer loads?

With a multi tag almost in hand I get to pull out my rifle for the first time in a while. I was at Cabelas yesterday to load up on some ammo but got sorta overwhelmed by the choices. Back at home and google didn't help much.
So what are some common factory loads that are proven on deer. As I recall from breaking in the barrel the Hornady rounds grouped worse than the cheap stuff I used to break in the barrel with so I'm not interested in them. That and I still have some Hornady laying around.
I'm thinking of one box ea of Federal, Rem and Win at 130 grains to have little shoot off with. So the question is which one of ea is best for deer?
Thanks!

Whatever is most accurate.
Your best chance for accuracy is something like A Ballistic Tip or Accubond.
If you want cheap,I'd try Core-Lokts first.

Nosler partitions are also reasonably accurate.

i used a win 270 as a backup rifle on an elk hunt. i found that sierra game kings @150 grains had as much energy as some .30/06 loads at 180 grains. The balistic tips fly nice, but I shot a deer with one from about 30 yards and the bullet exploded and jellied the deer's innards. never took another step, but there was significant disintegration of the bullet, and pieces were found in the meat. not a close-range treestand round, obviously. the 270 is very speedy! I sold the rifle, sadly. I'll look to see if I have any ammo for you to play with...

My wife shoots 130 grain federal tsx. It has worked well on deer and elk.

This is IMO the best factory ammo you will find anywhere. http://www.nosler.com/trophy-gradeFor the 270 Win. hunting western deer you want the 130 grain Accubond loading. Yeah its $44 a box but worth every penny. c/22

Thanks All, I picked up a box of the nosler C22 linked. As long as it groups reasonably well I'll stick with that.
Landcruiser, If you interested in meeting at Kenmore gun range some evening shoot me a PM.

I went to college in South Dakota. Had never hunted, high school friends of my wife.....got me into hunting. Now South Dakota in well know for bird hunting.....what is not know is the amount of white tail deer, mule deer, antelope, and my favorite wild turkey.
Went to a garage sale, got a Winchester pre64, .270 for $118.00....still have the rifle....haven't hunted since 1970.
College student, at the time....so money was tight....used re-loads $2.00 a box.....still have some of them.
Deer loads were 130 grain, antelope, got my only antelope with a 110 grain.....and turkey load, could use rifle then, was a "full metal jacket", that would kill without expanding.
Used to shoot a "bronze point".....did well for me. Don't even know if that bullet is made anymore.
.270 got it done for me!!!!!

I inherited a Remington Model 721 in .270 caliber the gun is a tack driver with 130 grain Nosler Partition bullets that I hand load 55.3 grains IMR 4350 3.25 OAL. Have harvested 4 deer and 2 elk in 4 years, out to 200 yards 1 shot kills. The gun shoots 1 inch groups at 100 yards, pretty good for a gun that is over 50 years old. Got a browning BAR 7MM Remington MAG and a Husquvarna Model ? in 30.06 but the ole .270 out performs them both, and is a lighter gun to carry.

Cool, you found some.
I've only put five rounds of them down range but my rifle is happy happy with them so I'm set for Oct if it comes to that.

It's not a miss when the buck does a 360 ass-over-tea kettle flip after getting hammered in the neck. It just wasn't a kill shot. Best guess is that since he was head on to me, I must have hit it to one side of the neck. Enough to flip it over, but not enough to instantly kill it. That was with a .300 Win Mag at 200 yards. As Art said to Doc once after I released a hatchery king, much to Doc's dismay: "Don't worry Doc, it's dead." I blame that POS Browing A-Bort and booolit. In either case, should have another opportunity this fall. Can't wait! Hopefully I'll have something to post about. Going to give your little .270 a chance. While I have a little bit of a clue when it comes to fishing, not so much when it comes to hunting. I do want to learn more, though....and am always trying to learn as I go.

It's not a miss when the buck does a 360 ass-over-tea kettle flip after getting hammered in the neck. It just wasn't a kill shot. Oh, you probably killed it, albeit slowly. If one takes a poke at a deer with a 300WM, and it is not recovered after diligent effort, then they missed. While I have a little bit of a clue when it comes to fishing, not so much when it comes to hunting. I do want to learn more, though....and am always trying to learn as I go. Shooting 101: Slipping one through the CNS/CPS intersections at the shoulder from abeam or the bow end will always pull the e-brake on any subsequent sprints. Study on this. Since there are no bench rests in the field, I've used trees, logs, door jambs, shooting sticks, sat on my arse with elbows on leg bones, and the handy pack throw down to seal the deal. In more than 4 decades, I have only taken 2 off hand running shots on deer and elk, only because they were close and both were done in one. Practice quickly getting into a stable shooting position when afield. Watch what your crosshairs are doing at different positions and distances. Because of the vertical I typically traverse in a day and their propensity to hang up on flora, I don't use bipods on a hunting rifle. Rather, deploy a good set of shooting sticks when you sit and watch for a spell, allowing for elbow on leg bone contact to stabilize the aft end of the stock. Ethics 101: I've let a good number of deer and elk walk when I didn't have a good shot or shooting position to confidently drop the hammer. Afield, I have found both the breathing and deceased remnants of someone's ineptitude. Use paper to target practice. Shoot coyotes, don't feed them. Good luck in your relationship with Bambi. May The Force be with you this hunting season....
