I would think it's about time for the House to take another vote on overturning the Affordable Care Act...then have some more hearings on the made up conspiracy du jour, and then take four weeks off to golf.
Fish on...

You should work on keeping your story straight. First you said there was no problem now you are saying there was a problem ? In reality you had no idea then and still have no idea you just come to a conclusion and then try to find evidence to support your view. Your side is now faced with starting wars in Lybia, Ukraine, Syria and a civil war in Iraq. Quadruple down on bushes policies and it is still somehow bushes problem?

The first thing we should do is evac any civilian contractors out of there. And then covertly work to get as many Muslim radicals to kill as many Muslim radicals as possible.
No money no planes no drones no troops etc......

Todd I agree. Anything that keeps congress from actually passing any new laws is a win in my book. Of course congress ain't commander in chief so I'm fully confident that Obama will [Bleeeeep!] this up all on his own!

Iran Iraq are just countries set up by the British to control the oil after ww1. the people living there are tribal and have fought each other for ever and will never stop fighting each other. we, the U.S. should just stay out but will not. big oil controls all.

These "Jihadists" ( what a laughable label) actions are consistent with any other country where the US has invaded under false pretense and cause. Across the middle east, Once our or the NATO forces leave, the same old regime or another one which is likely worse than the ousted regime will attempt to take over the country. It's happening in Afghanistan, It happened in Libya, it would have happened in Syria too. A failed policy fails every time you implement it.
As of today, You can Add Hamas declaring intifada on Israel to the fray now too Obama.

It comes as a huge surprise to me that things are a mess in the Middle east. Now if we just add our troops, lose thousands of Americas best and bankrupt the country to straighten it out, all will be fine,.

Now if we just add our troops, lose thousands of Americas best and bankrupt the country to straighten it out, all will be fine,. We've already tried that...didn't go so well. I'd be interested to see what happens if we just leave them the f.uck alone. Let'em kill each other and get it sorted out.

If we can leave them alone we do , lots of areas of the world need intervention and we mostly stay out of it Africa for example. Ignoring it is not an option if you want to continue to have oil priced on dollars vs gold or other currencies . People want to take the European approach and talk about it while sipping coffee in a detached manor. They can because oil is not tied to their currency directly. I doubt most people even understand the ramifications to the US if it changes. You won't be living anywhere near how you are now . That leaves us with a shatload of shatty options.

I'm starting to think that nationalizing our oil might be worth a try. Take it off the international commodities market and keep it here. I know that kind of thinking may have it's pitfalls but I'm tired of seeing American boys dying and our country going down the sh.iiter because of oil. Fire away.

I'm not sure having ragheads doing the market manipulation is any better though.

If I remember correctly, The Iraq Resolution or the Iraq War Resolution (formally the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002,[1] Pub.L. 107–243, 116 Stat. 1498, enacted October 16, 2002, H.J.Res. 114) is a joint resolution passed by the United States Congress in October 2002 as Public Law No: 107-243, authorizing military action against Iraq.
Considering this information how is it that you might feel that is proper to place the blame of the fiasco that we are currently embroiled in at the feet of any Bush?

There's a good article at NRO by Andrew McCarthy: Don't Just Blame Obama - Iraq's Implosion Isn't His Fault Alone.
Check it out. I didn't read it but I'm pretty sure it's the dimwit that we left in charge. al-Maliki got rid of the capable Sunnis and Kurds so he could put Shia allies in charge of anything important. The Awakening movement was left fallow...this was the crew that was able to stand up to Al Qaeda. Looks like Iran will be their only hope to save Baghdad, then we'll have a giant Iranian theocracy with ayatollahs running wild when the dust settles.

The op-ed from the former vice president and his daughter Liz came as the two announced the launch of “The Alliance for a Strong America,” a non-profit advocacy organization that they say will “advocate for a restoration of American strength and power.”
The last paragraph should have been the first. Would have saved me some time.

If we are discussing Iraq I'd say the best thing to make sure you do what is almost 100% the right thing to do is this.
Get George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Condaleeza Rice together in a room, and listen to them discuss it. Observe the tossing around of ideas, the in depth inspection of every plan, the weighing of all possible outcomes, and see a strong consensus emerge...
Then do exactly the opposite of that.

Is that what Obama did? Sending troops over there sounds like the Boosh solution.
Yes it does. He should have left it the fuk alone.
Yes he should have...and yes the US should have starting in 2001. Hank, now that you have joined Glenn Beck in decrying the fact that the US ever went into Iraq at all on false pretenses designed to perpetrate the biggest fraud on US taxpayers...ever...by transferring trillions of our tax dollars into the pockets of the MI Complex, does that mean you will be holding your candidates to that when you vote next? Or...will you vote for the same fools who defend that action while you are voting "For the Economy"? Don't bother answering...that's a rhetorical question. Of course you will not...vote against those fools or vote for things that are good for the economy. You'll be too busy voting GOP, straight party line. Fish on... Todd

Yeah...so was most everyone with an IQ over 22.
That being said...all the clowns in Congress whining about Obama's actions in Iraq the last couple days are hypocritical pieces of schit, and so are those who have now decided to feel differently because it's Obama and not Bush doing it.

This whole thing is a nice, warm piece of red meat for the political wranglers. Not hard to deduct that al-Maliki created this recent mess by trying to make Iraq a Shiite state. The Kurds and Sunnis were left out....what's happening now was predictable. So now Kerry is going to go over there and try to teach al-Maliki how to create a unified government ? I don't think think so....too late for that.
There was the American War Then the 1st Civil War Now it's the 2nd Civil War
This will have to play out and the result will be one of 3 things, just as it was after Saddam's fall.

Todd Crap! I thought you might suggest the more sensible action of just sending Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Rice over there instead of 300 troops. Poetic justice at its finest!

I'm down with that, too...along with Paul Wolfowitz, Scooter Felony Libby, Bill Kristol, John McCain, and anyone and everyone involved with the PNAC...and though I like him for the most part, General Colin Powell gets to lead their charge in Iraq for his stupid dog and pony show that he put up at the U.N.
