Paid $102.00 last week for my 2004 18' LT & trailer.....not bad I thought. I was thinking it would be more.Good luck,

SZ

PS, Back 2004 I wasn't very happy with the price though.

Paid $70 this year for a 2004 20' Intruder that I bought new in 2005...like others I wasn't very happy the first year that I had to license it...

What services are "climbing" besides our financial obligation to our government...?

Agree with JTD. It isn't the taxes that rub people wrong - it's the way the money is pissed away that rubs people wrong.

If the money is pissed away I don't trust those same pissers to tell me what a reasonable amount of money is in the first place.

That is a bit of a straw man argument and here is why. The government isn't competing for your business like an eye doctor does. The market values quality eye care, therefore, it costs quite a bit. The market has little influence on licensing fees/taxes and those collecting those fees/taxes have no incentive to be efficient with that money. Hence, the "leaning on shovels" problem.

If you wanted a nice house like an eye doctor might have (after paying off many thousands of dollars worth of medical school debt) perhaps you should have become a doctor.

Don't let envy eat you up, life is too short.

Just ordered my boat sticker. I think it's going down, $25.50. I think it's just the boat, with no motor, since the motor cost twice as much as the boat.

You kicked in the $5 for the parks too didn't you doc? smile

LTF boat taxes are based on their value like cars were before 695. New boat=$$$, old boat=$.

The tab fees are utter bull$h!t, KK

It shouldn't cost any more to register a 10 yr old boat than a brand new one. Sure, charge a premium based on size/horsepower… more wear/tear on the roads, larger carbon footprint on the environment. That would make sense…. and it should apply to an old boat as much as a new one.

This is just more liberal-a$$ progre$$ive taxation.

The guy$ buying new boat$ are already getting a ginormou$ bite out of their a$$ the fir$t go around on the $ale$ tax.

Anybody would know that, its common knowledge.

When you fund a state via sales tax, and its published, its not exactly New news, you know that going in
Same is true for registration fees, its easily researched prior to purchase, and bitching about self inflicted wounds gets you zero sympathy from me doc.

most of your late night posts seem to be bitching about something or another....might want to think before you post.

Complaining about a 300 dollar fee, considering the use you get out of that barge seems somewhat disingenuous to me.

But for some, whining about everything is a hobby, especially where government is concerned.

Go back to your first post, and see if being 27th out if 50 is ' tax hell'

Mist reasonable people would have a hard time buying that definition...

Just because we are 27th out of 50 doesn't make it right. We are all being taxed to high to support a heavy load of public sector jobs.

I find it ironic and kinda irritating that any guide that makes their living off the taxpayers (hatchery fish) is complaining when they're asked to give a little back to the tax base. You folks are getting a free ride IMO.

Listen up bitch....

There's a reason you're known as sndyknt.
The constant whining from your sniveling ass get nauseating.
Put on your big girl panties sometime, and at least consider not crying about everything like a 3 year old girl....
