Happened an hour ago or so...been trying to keep an eye on the news channels and the InterWebz...everyone is blaming it on each other...Ukranians, Russians, or Crimean separatists.
No one is even sure if it was shot down or not, though most the consensus seems to be that it was.
This was a passenger jet with 295 passengers aboard, came down hot from 30K feet, clearly no survivors.

It seems that the type of missile required to hit a 500mph plane at 30k feet is the type that is in the possession of two types of people...Russians, or someone the Russians gave them to.

I think the most reasonable scenario at this point would be that Russia gave missiles and a launcher to the Separatists, who intended to use it to shoot down Ukranian military transport planes...and then they mistakenly shot down a civilian airliner.

With all this going on Obama the incompetent was seen wringing his hands and pacing in the Oval Office. He could not decide if he had time to get in 18 holes or launch his own missile into Reggie loves mangina.

I agree it's really stupid but the source for the first bit is Routers and the source for the 2nd bit was the WH  And then an hour later Obama says he's trying to confirm if there were any Americans on board after MH already confirmed that there were 23 Americans on board. And then he went on to tell some really piffy jokes, ha ha what a peach Defending this guy is getting harder and harder as proven by the fact that the only way to defend him is by quoting right wing whakjobs!! Don't get me wrong. I really like the idea of having a lame-duck POTUS with a totally dysfunctional Congress as that gives the average American some hope that government will slow down it's drive to totally [Bleeeeep!] things up .

On The Cycle over there at MSNBC, they got a call (prank) from Staff Sgt. Michael Boyd from the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. Introducing the caller as an expert witness, co-host Krystal Ball (  ) asked him what he had seen. Sgt. Boyd said "Well, I was looking at the window and I saw a projectile flying through the sky, and it would appear the plane was shot down by a blast of air from Howard Stern's ass." Todd This ^^^ That had to be a "flying telephone pole" (big SAM) to reach up there. Don't think the shoulder-fired stuff has that kind of range. American foreign policy went from "Bring It On" to a giant WTF in recent years. Embarrassing on both counts.
