I know plenty of Board members like Shimano Stradics. I received an email today (May 20th) from www.gofishin.com that lists them at $80 (vs. $115 in Cabela's) so it sounds like a deal. Don't know how many they have, but I've ordered from Gofishin.com before and found them reliable. (No, I don't have any affiliation to this website and since so few people read the Classifieds I thought I'd post this on the main board as a public service. Bob, is that OK?)

Man, too bad they're out, I was looking for that reel for my father. I think the reason that they were at such a good price is, just recently Shimano made a few modifications on many of their reel models. When I saw the picture at gofishin, it appears to be the older stock.

Anyone else know of a good price on the Stradic?

Sorry to disappoint you guys. I used the search engine at www.google.com and looked under 'Shimano Stradic'. I checked about 10 websites and found the two with the lowest prices at $100 each:

I also found places advertising this reel for as much as $150! With the Internet I don't see how those guys are going to last but I guess there are people in a hurry who don't shop around . . . just like the real world.
