Last fall there were some posts on this BB that the access road into the upper launch (Schaefer Creek?)had been gated by the timber company. Was this only during the hunting season or was this permanent?

I haven't used this put-in for a number of years because you really need a full day to do this float properly. With kids in soccer and baseball, most of my trips are half days and back for an afternoon game. I'm hoping to take some time off during the week this summer and take at least one full day to float this beautiful stretch of water again.

Please help if you have any information! Osprey? Andy? Anybody?

There was and old timber bridge across Shaefer crick that I suspect that the timber company deemed unsafe so they trenched the road on either side of the bridge.
Might be a way around though quite going there too many people.

Mutta Goose,Honk Honk that stretch is very long with summer water conditions it will be longer ,lots of places you will have to get out and push,last I headrd the road was still open,the launch area is very tuff you will need a 4X4 ,I would not recomend it if you're running a drift boat it will be a long day....I'd try the Kalama Good Luck

White bridge to pumphouse a bumpy one in the summer around 750 cfs??? And anyone fish it lately?

Been all over the nooch from top to bottom only seen two fish... not going to be many fish in this river this year.

They have replaced the old road around by shafer creek but that is a tough launch.you are better off staying up by the concrete bridge and lauching from there.K
