Just sent your link to a friend living on a moored boat in Pelican, Alaska. Events like this can do considerable damage to boats in the harbor. Seems like there's always some threat up there... wind storms, snow/ice storms, and tsunamis. Thanks for the warning.

Upon further review, looks like this storm will miss Pelican. Trend is for improving weather there. High temps in the 40s; lows above freezing. Winds generally mild and only a 10% chance of rain by Sunday.
