Thanks to ESPN I'm conflicted.
When the playoffs got down to UO, OSU, FSU, and UA I was disappointed...mainly because I don't give twoshits if any of those four teams ever win a game again, ever. As a matter of fact, I'd prefer it if they don't.
Two months ago I didn't think that Oregon was going to be able to live up to the hype...I thought they had played marginally well against very inferior opponents and not only lost one game, but were not very impressive in several of their wins.
By the end of the season, though, I changed my opinion about that...mostly based on the fact that their defense really turned up the heat, and that their increasingly healthy offensive line was starting to really own the line of scrimmage.
I also thought that their offense would not look as good against faster defenses...let's just say they changed my mind on that quite a bit, too...with good reason.
I think they are in the driver's seat to win on Monday, to be honest.
Can I root for the Ducks?
Well...no, not really. Problem is that I can't root for Ohio State, either...because FuckkUrbanMeyer. 'Nuf sed on that.
Today I have ESPN on in the shop and I'm watching two total dipshits...Brian Kelly and Brady Hoke...tell everyone how OSU is going to kick the Ducks' asses.
Hmmm. Now besides hating on Urban Meyer I have a chance to hate on two other douchebags that I like just as little as him...especially Brian Kelly who I probably dislike more than any other NCAA Div. 1 coach. Fuckk that guy.
Fuckit...go Ducks.

Todd I had the same epiphany and as I watched the ducks team play this year, the team was strangely lacking the copious amounts of douchebaggery that has plauged it the last few years. Still hate duck fans, you know the morons with wings on their cars and freshly minted t shirts from wal mart.. But for this one time only.. in the words of todd the mod fukit... Go Ducks

But, I still get to chuckle if they lose......right? Well...yeah. There is a bright side to wishing both teams would lose...and that's that at least one of them will. I'd rather root "for" someone, but college football has always been full of opportunities to root against someone, so I guess I'm rooting against OSU/Meyer/Hoke/Kelly on Monday, and eastern bias in general. And just in case you want another reason to root against OSU......
Ducks in school this week so they are limited to 20 hrs of practice, film, weightlifting, medical, meals etc.....
Bucs are not in school this week so they can partake in all of the above 24/7.
So we can even hate the NCAA and their 1000 pages of dumbass rules this week too!

So here it is...and I hope it happens to your favorite team one day. An East Coast guy...Mike Greenburg....said this morning... "When you watch Marcus Mariota, there is no question that you are watching one of the best college QB's ever." So who really gives a fuk what Greenie thinks, but that was cool. MM is prolly one in 2 or 3 generations. Urban...I actually like 'im...but it's gonna be war. Maybe it'll be a coaching duel. Maybe Marcus will take over game and bust every attempt by Urban to corral him. And Kev...yer just a fuggin beech.

I'm just so excited that Phil Knight might get the ultimate reward for his investment in UO sports. He took a team from Eugene, Or and equipped the staff and facilities with all that is necessary to put the program at a winning level. I'm so happy he did it the "right" way, without having unscrupulous recruiters or unregulated camps in his program. This program should be a model for every college team.

The Ducks are fortunate to be playing in this game. Pac 12 officials helped them seal a win in Pullman. The next week they got crushed by Zona. They were missing a few offensive linemen.
Oh well gotta root for the Ducks.

...with that said I feel I must support the quacks. being the pac12 representative. Hopefully, your loyalty extends only as far as Oregon's southern border, and common sense prevails beyond that. Your BFF Fister, a certified dim bulb, has better sense than to root for a California, or an Arizona school. Go Ducks!

Can't really believe it myself either, but without the 'we smoked it all's, laptop sticky fingers, lines of blow in the parking lot, the 'we don't care, we been to the rose bowl, it's not good enough' on camera douchbaggery's, and the likes, it was hard to hate what Phil knight has bought. Top the toned down antics off with a class act QB like Mariota, and even Beav blood doesn't boil like it used to at the sight of green and yellow.
Now, add in a sprinkling of FukUrbanMeyer, with a pinch of 'we ain't here to play SCHOOL' cardale flip burgers jones, and I can't help but find myself thinking (pay attention to this part dwatkins) I hope Oregon wins by a fawking clown stomping!
