I think that your rumor is just obvious speculation put forth by an attention hungry media, cun.ts like you Hank. What player DOESN'T want to be the highest paid? I think he truthfully deserves it but he won't be getting quite that in Seattle. If Wilson is really holding out for that sort of contract he will find himself franchise tagged by the Hawks in the near future IMO. However I believe that there will be a deal done soon. If not we can tag him for a while then either sign him or let him go. He would make a great replacement for Payton if he can last a few more years, Brady in New England, Romo in Dallas or a bit farther down the line Rodgers in Green Bay. He could also just go play for some [Bleeeeep!] team w/ lots of cap space to make him the highest paid player if that's what he really wants. Either way he will bring one or more additional Lombardi's to Seattle between now and then.

The media speculation reminds me of all the baseless shi.t talking about Beast Mode before he got the pay raise and then another raise and extension. It's the off season and NFL needs to keep bored old homos like Hank occupied since they have nothing better to do or think about.

Let's face it Hawks fan, Russell Wilson is only good because we have Marshawn Lynch. As soon as Lynch hangs up the gold cleats (about the time we run out of affordable franchise tags for Shorty) we will not be needing his services.

Seattle pays market price for D players. Offense they bargain shop and for good reason.

The Seahwks do not ask a lot of Russel Wilson and they have trained him to be paranoid of throwing interceptions. If Shorty wants to be the top paid player he will be in the Hall of nobodys playing on a celler dweller team like the Browns.

If Shorty isnt willing to sign a team friendly deal the Hawks will move on from him. The only ego bigger on the team than Shorty's is Carroll/Schneider and no one player will change there formula for success, just ask Percy or all the countless other players they have sent packing.

Opinion on Russell just for Hank. It's a good opening position for contract negotiations. He won't get what he's asking for, and he'll settle for less, either in Seattle or somewhere. That's kinda' how salary negotiations work. If Russell hadn't thrown the Superbowl interception his negotiation position would be stronger.

Russell won't leave Seattle.
He is a loyal person almost to a fault.

We all know RWIII is good, but how good would he be without the #1 "D" in the league and "Beast Mode".........I think he would be a medioker QB running for his life on a Chit ass team...........with a high dollar contract which he would not fulfill do to injury..............His chit ass baseball agent needs to wake the Fuk up and figure it out......He isn't worth more than oh say 21.5 to be honest 18.5 to 20 is more like it. I say Fuk it.....if he don't come down and work it out....soon, franchise his ass for the next two years than let him go..............Once he signs a fat deal here with the "HAWK'S" the following year we will need to cut the fat and that's on the "D"............Book it. Then what rebuild.............with a over paid broken down running QB............Like said above............That game losing INT Fuked his stock a bit. Good luck,

SZ

Any motherfucker that plays football and doesn;t think he's worth the most of anyone in the league is a fuckin' pussy.

Russ isn't a pussy, and figures he's worth the top salary in the league. That's the attitude of a winner.

The Hawks will pay him what he's worth.................and Russ will take it. Because neither party is a dumbfuck............unlike the crowd in SF.

For at least the next 3 years, RW will be a Seahawk if the team wants him. Under contract this year, exclusive franchise tags the next two. Everybody needs to chillax on this one.

SZ,

If you were the GM you'd have told all of the LOB, Lynch, Bennett and RW to go to hell as they weren't team players. And I'm sure I've missed several. How dare they not love the 12's so much that they don't sign whatever piece of paper is shoved in front of them!

Please don't make me go back and quote your comments on Lynch when he skipped a few practices last year.

It's called negotiations. Nothing to see hear smile

And they'll be just fine come opening day!

p.s. Every single NFL player should hold out every single year and get just as much money out of the front office as they can. Just look at a guy like Zach Miller. Stub your toe and your gone! And we don't give a [Bleeeeep!] how much you contributed to a team. This is the NFL. The teams make a billion every week and if you're a player just feel lucky we paid you a dime in the first place!!!

I will always side with the player every single time. Get hurt on the final play of the 4th preseason game and buh-by-No more paychecks for you!

I may not know everything about football contracts. I how ever understand football injuries and career ending injuries. very few career ending injuries in baseball. RW is not in baseball. therefore the contract RW's agent is trying to land is huge gamble for the hawks.
