Kudos to the guy doing the filming. After watching that cop I'd say he was risking his life filming that.
I think everyone of of those cops should be fired and charged with murder. It's not like the 2nd, 3rd or 4th on the scene did anything in the public's interest. The callousness is just amazing. I've displayed more emotion shooting a bird.

Watching it closely, it appears that the dropping of the stun gun may not have much significance. In the beginning of the video it drops to the ground, so it very well may have been that the victim was trying to wrestle it away. But, it is clear that the suspect is simply running away when shot in the back, so don't think that will be a valid excuse. He goes back, picks it up and then drops it next to the suspect. Leaving were it was would have been almost or more effective. He then appears to pick it up later and stick in back in the holster, so if it was a clear plant job, it seems he would have just left it there.
I think he could get away with manslaughter, but when he handcuffs him and does not immediately attempt to help the suspect, it could turn into a full blown murder charge. If it is determined he was planting evidence, then he will most likely get a straight murder charge, possible even a 1st degree charge.
Of note also, is the sad realization that the black officer on the scene appears to be the one who seems most concerned with the suspect, but even he does not bother to remove the handcuffs from the clearly unconscious and dying victim.
I would love a dream world where the video did not come out until after the initial determination from the police department. It could do wonders in showing how biased the system is.
Terrible video. I hate race being brought into every officer involved shooting. Either the person deserved to get shot or the officer made a bad decision. period.
It's common practice to cuff someone you've identified as a threat even after they're shot. But it's also common practice to render first aid when they are restrained.
I'd be interested to see what happened prior to the filming but it does look like a bad shoot.
Racism still exists but I doubt to the magnitude that the press shows. I'm a minority and I'm from the South. I know racism exists and have experienced it, but it's not as rampant as the news would like you to believe.
Plenty of other races get hemmed up by police.
The media and "black leaders" are reinforcing and essentially nurturing a pride in victimization. If AL Sharpton and the NAACP spent half of their effort on preventing or attempting to solve black on black crime and gang violence opposed to lighting a fire under anything the press gets a hold of, the black community would be moving in the right direction.
but don't take my comments to mean anything positive from this travesty. I'm speaking broadly on whats going on with the black community. Based on what is shown in the film, I'll say again it was a bad shoot.

But then how would they make any money?

Yes, the cops were out of line.
However, the man definitely deserved getting the sh!t beat out of him for shooting a puppy in front of his family.

now these cops, are good cops... repeatedly used tasers with no effect, repeatedly pepper sprayed with no effect, fought tooth and nail with a bunch of fvcks with no teeth and long nails, and only shoot when shot....
personally, they should have killed every single one of them...
heres a news cast on it with the police talking about the situation (somewhat)
