The story I heard about Bon dressing like a girl and Angus adopting the schoolboy costume was that it was to get the attention of hard drinking bar patrons at their gigs in Australia. The audiences weren't very reactive, and they tried several gimmicks to get them more into it. At one point Angus wore a gorilla suit.
Can't remember exactly- might have come from the "Let There Be Rock" documentary that toured shortly after Bon's death. Anyone else see it?

This group may have rode in on AC/DC's coattails but I still like the song, brings back many good memories, however IMHO this video is not all that good. It does seem like in that era many people were fascinated with the land of Ozz/Australia, in fact, I suppose that I still am.
