On a side note,I think it's cool that teams like the Jays,the Astros,the Mets,Cubs and Royals are all in the hunt. I am feeling iffy about the Giants,but we play LA next and if we can play good baseball,which we have been with the addition of Marlon Byrd and this new kid Kelby Tomlinson and if our pitching quits taking a crap I think we have a shot at the division. But it's getting down to the wire. If SF doesn't make it to the playoffs I will be hoping a couple underdog teams make it to face each other in the world series.

I was watching the LLWS yesterday and seeing the Mariner score scroll by on the bottom of the screen every once in a while...4-0 Mariners...then 4-1, 4-2, 4-3...and eventually 5-4 in the 9th...and then predictably, 5-5 and going to extras.

The LLWS ended just in time to flip over to watch the team that's not the Mariners hit a walk off in the bottom of the 11th to stick yet another dagger in the hearts of the Mariners.

Thank God football season is starting...I haven't been able to sit thru an entire Mariner game since July.

Cano. I love how, when he hits a ground ball that is cleanly fielded, he just stops running and lets them throw him out by 40 feet. I was at the White Sox game recently and he was caught between 2nd and 3rd due to his stupid baserunning. Did he get caught in a rundown? No, that would have taken some effort. What did he do, you're wondering? He STOPPED and just stood there while the 3rd baseman ran 15 feet and tagged him out. While he stood there like a mannequin.

Pete Rose or Ty Cobb would jump out of the stands and beat him senseless. that isn't how the game is supposed to be played.

For that money, you'd think he'd at least ACT like he cares. Nope.

I tune in when Felix pitches and to watch Cruz and Seager hit. At least those guys seem to care and actually run out groundballs. Cruz is the bright spot. He's fun to watch even when he whiffs.
