Well;
It's been open for about 10 hours now.

I've been workin on my tackle, plannin boat rides and such. I hope you got one.

I'm tying snelled 2's with 3's on top with that fancy egg bumper knot I learned from Bob. We got fresh herring this afternoon from the wholesale office of Ballard Bait. Just on ice cause I was to lazy to cut plug and salt it.Tying it all up on 16# green Ande. I hope it's heavy enough. I'm tying em' about 2 fathoms long, cause it sure as hell is easier to make make em' shorter...

The last time I (we) got an opportunity to fish this the Blue Angels were flying over Elliot Bay. Remember?

I'm meeting the man with boat at 3:30. We will be launching at (wish I could remember the name of that place). We figure everyone else will be there, a bit later. I hope we can find somewhere to park.

Sunday I will be fishing with the "Smurf" (He who fishes without waders in very cold water without waders, you know, the creature with blue feet.) We have My downriggers on that vessel. We are planning to stack em'. Blue spatter back plug, cut plug and maybe a hootchie.

I hope that I have the hot ticket. If so, I will let you know. If you come up with something which is working, I would certainly appreciate it if you would share it with me. (If its some big secret DC, you could email it to me)

Saturday 4:30pm
Everyone showed up on time, that is always a good thing. The launch was packed. Parking was a pain. It clouded up right at dawn, what a spectacular sunrise. The City looked like it was on fire.

The boat was running poorly, so we mooched. All we caught were dogfish. My buddy Dave even caught two at once. We started calling him "Dogfish Boy". We didn't touch a salmon. I didn't even see anyone hook up.

On our way out we talked with the checker. At 9:30 he had checked 36 boats with 12 Chinook. The largest being somewhat over 30 pounds.

I sure hope we do better tommorow.
