Going back to the SB last play for the "HAWK'S".........
I've never blamed it on the call as these guy's are professional players.
#1 $hitty pass.....to start with. It should have been thrown to where only the receiver could get it........low and @ the hip area.....If not throw it out of the end zone or pump fake and run it in.
#2 The most shittiest effort going for the ball from a #4 receiver in a superbowl game ever..............#83 is only good @ special teams............that's it. Never should have tried to put the game in a #4 hands. Peroid.............
#3 The defender made a great play on the ball...................and was lucky to have caught it, cause if he dropped it, It would have been a PI call.
Between RWIII & Lockett................they flat out did not execute the play that was called.................period..................This has nothing to do with the play call, so to blame it all on the play call is horse [Bleeeeep!]............better throw, better catch...................Petey is a freakin "GOD" .................interception do to $hitty pass & effort from WR................failed execution........he's a donkey. Good luck,

SZ

Hawks picked up Mo Seisay from Detroit today. He's a nice sized (6'2", 206), physical corner with good but not world class speed (4.5 40). Played for my Huskers, so I know a bit about him. He's tall, rangy and defends the corner post really well. He's kinda like a Sherman but without the mouth. This should be a good trade for the Hawks to add some secondary depth. I doubt he sees the field much this year, but you never know. He could be a good Special Teams gunner right away. Well done.

now that the hawks have JG and LW in the tight end positions. it got me thinking. if a team utilized 3 or 4 TEs regularly who are all 6'6" it would seem to me they would be devastating to defenses 15yds to 30yrds. They would be so big that MLBs could not defend a pass thrown high enough only a really tall TE can grab it.

any flaws to this theory?

Only Kam Chancellor blowing them up every time they come across the middle but I suppose that's not a problem for the Hawks smile

3 TE's is doable under a Jumbo set, but you almost always leave 1 TE into block (inside TE on the strong side usually) and it usually results in a run play (goal line or short yardage) 4 TE's going down field is a no go. You are required to leave enough men on the line to block and can only declare so many eligible receivers otherwise you get an ineligible man down field penalty. Another thing - every NFL team knows which of your TE's are blockers and which are catchers. You are not really fooling anyone with a jumbo set. Rather you are daring them to beat you as a man in a short yardage running situation.

PS > look at Stanford or Wisconsin CFB if you want to see how 3 TE's sets are supposed to be run. Both teams have perfected the Jumbo.

I have never been as excited about our first two picks, Lockett and Frank Clark. It's amazing what JS/PC do in drafting. I can see both of these guys possibly making the pro bowl in their first year. Clark is like Bennett, he can play all three downs. He reminds me of John Randle. Not to mention Wagner, this D is going to be off the charts.

GO HAWKS!!!!

Kam is fckingpissing me off. I thought he would be the last player to play this BS. He's the highest paid SS in the NFL. I've lost a lot of respect for him. I hope the team holds strong,he's our's for 3 more years...mebbe he knows something about his hips that he's not sharing and wants to get as much and as soon as possible?

His back up Bailey sure looks good. thumbs

Irvin to SS?

Too many blows to the head has been implicated in early onset dementia. Not saying you've had too many, but maybe Kam has... wink
