Just my morning coffee Stamly. D wins championships....or at least gets you pretty far in the playoffs...so this should be a good bet for both teams. I'm pretty confident in the bet and if I'm wrong...who cares? It's fun entertainment for me. I love gettin' you guys all riled up. Its so easy, even a Hankster could do it. wink

That being said, I'm sooooo rooting for the Hawks to murder Johnny Football this weekend. Do you think they'll make all 70K fans sign a witness report? Gawd, I can't stand that douche nozzle.

FYI - it looks like Kam is still day-to-day. He didn't practice yesterday, so that's a bit concerning. I really want him back so he can steal Johnny's soul.... evil

Just like Wankster, Nickster claims he keeps posting only because it riles us up and just like Wankster he is wrong.

I'll give you props on Denver's defense. Seattle is 3rd in defense and a much deeper team. Let's talk about QB'S, Russell is #1 in passer rating at 110.0 with SB experience. Were 5th in offense and you guys are around 18 or something. Simply put, Seattle is the hottest team in the NFL. I also think we will win the NFC championship. Russell the last 4 games has 16 TD'S without a interception, the only players to do that are Peyton and Brady. I can see another 4-5 this week.

Edit: Panthers are the hottest team, they have had 4-5 freak wins.

I like to read blogs of blowhards and windbags who think they know something about football, and yet don't get paid to coach, manage, or own a team - they just talk sh!t on the internet.

That's what I like to do.

It's super cool that we not only have Hamster fagging out the place again, but now he has Nickster filling in for him when he finally shuts the fu.ck up for a while.

Because Rawls was tearing it up, and the Oline is way better. Graham was kicking arse after Russ and Him got on the same page. Anyone that thinks Graham is not a serious weapon and second best TE in the Game is freeking idiot.

I know the O is kickin' arse (see my posts above). The O-line is clicking and picking up assignments much better. They've gone to more of a zone blocking scheme which has helped solidify run and pass pro. Run blocking has always been much easier than pass pro. Hat on hat and blow off the line. You've seen that materialize with Rawl's numbers. Where the Hawks may get into trouble is becoming 1D without the run game. D's can go with a more man or cover 2 approach and while freeing up a LB to spy or rush Wilson. Wilson't legs and ability to get outta trouble will be the difference. If he were a pure pocket passer, the Hawks would be in serious chit. He's not, so they are not. That's just my $0.02 worth...

Uhm. Zone blocking is not "hat on hat and blow off the line" blocking.

BTW. According to this thread I thought the consensus was to fire Bevell. Did I miss something??

No, it can be. Instead of taking the guy directly across from you in standard man run blocking, zone run blocking is identifying the where the pressure is coming from and run blocking your man within your zone. He could be straight ahead or to either side. But the way you block is the same. Get low and blow him back versus standing up and bump blocking (typical pass pro). It helps when a struggling 0-line can't beat the D straight up. It allows for double team help as needed. At the start of the season, the Hawks were straight up man blocking and were getting whipped at the line. Going to the zone has helped bring in support to cancel out the D's best players. Bevell isn't the greatest, but he has made the adjustments as needed to help his young and struggling o-line. The results are now speaking for the themselves. More rush yards and less sacks. This isn't magic.

Jumbo 12 or 13 zone set with a pass blocking TE. I said this like after the 3rd week of the season. Nobody listens. Ok Beezy. Ok. I won't comment on the Hawks any longer if that is your want. I'll be rooting for both the Donks and Hawks to kick some arse, but I'll refrain from posting about the Hawks. I do wish the team and other fellow Hawks fans best of luck the rest of the year. smile

This summarizes this thread perfectly. Let's lock this one up and throw away the key!

Nickster has turned into Frank... Slo Dance is bipolar... Frank went away, on purpose...waited for empathy and returned.

I think we should start a thread on weather. It would have all the same ingredients as the Hawks thread; predictions and hypothesis and then explanations of the facts later by the wind bags and blowhards... rofl

You have TE'S that can block or catch, Graham is more of a receiver with great hands and is 6' 7". Do you think he's going to come to a different team and be automatic? The TE is one of the hardest positions in football to learn. He will be here for a long time and will be one of the best receiver/TE Seattle has ever had. He was just getting dialed in when he got hurt. He also brings a double team which opens up everything. There's a reason he was voted #10 best player in the NFL last year. BOOK IT.

For all the naysayers, the Hawks punch their playoff ticket today. All that remains is figuring who they play in the first two games.
