Paul Allen was much much more than a Sports Team owner. He liked 2001 (the movie) in Cinerama, so he bought it when it was a dump and made it beautiful. His Living Computer Museum is great. The Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum in Everett is beyond cool. What his vessel the RV Petrel is doing with finding the WWII wrecks (Indianapolis, Helena, Lexington to name a few) speaks to a man who had lots of money and lots of big ideas! He did save the Seahawks and then stepped out of the way and let football guys run the operation to lead us to the Golden Age of Seahawks football. He leaves big footprints! RIP.

You're talking about NBA teams.
Google up what Forbes (or anyone else you like) estimates the value of NFL teams. Hank, it was a comparison. The NFL is the king of all sports right now in the US.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

This is a huge loss for everyone. He is going to be sorely missed.

I cannot believe this isn't getting more national attention. He's right up there with Ben Franklin, Neil Armstrong, John Glenn, Steve Jobs, Gates.......on and on.

Maybe you should watch something other than Fox News...it was on every national news show last night and again this morning. Fox probably needed to talk about emails or rape allegations instead. No.
If he was being hit in the head and face with a padlock in a sock, he'd be experiencing head and face pains and not chest pains!
You are the worst Darkside doctor ever!
But, you may have a shot as The PP Coroner, though!
I think we will need one come 11-11-18.

Ex-Seahawk Coach Jack Patera kicked off at 85 today.
By all accounts he was a pretty miserable human being, but he sure knew how to make an expansion team that didn't win much fun to watch.
Fish on...

I remember when Willie came up. Rookie of the Year for a half season. Giants were "blessed" with first basemen so Willie went to left so the Baby Bull could play first. That didn't work. As with many who came up with SF, Orlando found success elsewhere but Willie anchored first and missed winning the '62 Series by millimetres. Agree, Hank, he was a great. And, as I said, saw him hit one magnificent home run. RIP.
