Rest assured that this will be run cleanly and smoothly, if for no other reason than I refuse to be lumped into the same category as that ol' liberal goat fvcker.

Todd - I'll hook you up with some tasty fire water at the end of the month, but I cannot gaurantee that the seal won't be broken in advance. You know, for quality control purposes and such.

All the home teams win.

It's time to either make up some ground on dw, or start circling the drain.

Pac 12 VP of officials on Akeem Victor being kicked out of the game,

"The call was roughing the passer with targeting. The targeting was called for the hit on the defenseless quarterback for forcible contact to the head or neck area. It was helmet to helmet contact. When the play was reviewed by instant replay, the call on the field stood. A defenseless player cannot be hit by an opponent with forcible contact in the head or neck area with the hand, fist, forearm, elbow, shoulder or helmet. The other form of targeting is that a player cannot make forcible contact with an opponent with the crown of his helmet."

And this clown was supposed to bring credibility to Pac 12 officiating? It was helmet to helmet contact? And a review confirmed it? And your going to come out a week later and confirm the confirm. Really? The only thing this confirms is that Pac 12 officials both on the field, in the booth and at the home office flat out SUCK!!

I really want to think the Huskies got a great shot at beating the Ducks Saturday but with their running game and our best defender, and run stopping thumper, out for the first half I'm not so sure. If the Huskies can keep it close at halftime then I think the Dawgs take it but without Victor it's almost like sporting the Ducks a 7 pt lead. Which really sucks! Dumbest rule in all of football. And with any play can be reviewed that's almost like sporting the Ducks another 7 points. I don't know how or why yet but rest assured the Huskies will get totally screwed on a booth review. It's just how the Pac rolls!! frown

And a quick message/request to Nick,

I know your sort of new to the area and all but just in case your not aware of it we do play football on the west coast. Maybe throw us a bone of at least one game each week that folks here will, you know, actually watch.

UCLA@Stanford or maybe even, God forbid, USC@ND. Not really any drama leading up to this game, with no story lines or history behind it but what the heck it would be a difficult game to predict with a fairly even split on who picks who to win. Even has a midwest flavor to it.

That might be roughing the passer, but there is no way in hell that is targeting.

No kidding.

I hope this conference NEVER sees the championship game again. We don't deserve it.

Yeah...yeah....yeah. grin

A few things. UCLA@Stanford would have been a great game to put into this weeks lineup, but it was Thursday night game and not everyone can have their picks in by that time, so it wouldn't be fair to those guys who have a life (yours truly not included). Second, I'm tired of ND. They have been in this too much already. FVCK ND. Third, if the Pac-12 didn't suck donkey balls this year and had more teams in the top 25, there would be more weekly games of interest. Forth, last week there was jack chit for games in the Top 25 to choose from, whereas this week there are a ton of Top 25 matchups to choose from. Lastly, I have been contemplating having a couple "guest" pick em' weeks so others can get their say into the mix.

So guess who's gonna be the first "guest game picker of the week"? wink

So with that, Brood - please go ahead and picks next week's game by next Monday evening or Tuesday am at the latest. Put the games into the format I have been using (#2 Popcorn State @ #10 Sisters of the Blind). I'll still tally the weekly results accordingly.

It's all yours amigo....GO BROOD GO!
