How fast is your connection to the internet? Sorry this is a bit off topic but I'm working on a new fishing-related website and I'm curious to know how fast most of you surf. Are you on a 56K, 33.6 or 28.8 dialup? DSL? Cable modem? Do you have a super-fast connection at work and do most of your surfing from there?

Thanks for your input. I'm trying to figure out how small I should be making some thumbnail pics.

Bruce, cable modem over at the Salmontackler Estate. Whoa! it's damn fast! It regularly streams over 8,000 kbs. Well worth the extra $$$

I've got a 56k modem, but I usually connect at about 48,000. Wish I had a connection that was faster, but 56k is all right for me.

DSL or Cable. I use a DSL connection at work and it screams! Stuck with 56k at home but not for long. You live in Seattle so DSL and/or cable should be readily available.

I use to be connect at 56.6 then the speed would be 48 or 49. I got a dedicated line and they split my dam bandwidth in half so now I am at 28.8 until I go to dsl or cable. That won't be until it doesn't cost me a gloomis/per month to do it. Suppose to be soon in these parts

Thanks for all the replys. Good to see so many folks with fast connections. It's hard for me to judge appropriate page download times since I do 95% of my surfing from work (part of my job) and we have multiple T1s.
