My kid bought us tickets to the AC/DC show at the Tacoma Dome tomorrow night, so today I took a day off to pay the proper respect to the bad boys from down under, and I'm playing all the AC/DC I have. Apparently, the kid was raised up right.

I just started up with '74 Jailbreak, and I'm going to work my way through the list, and work over some tasty drinks.

A bunch of degenerates I know from Shelton and UW are going, too, so my intention is to keep this going for 2 straight days and pretend I'm not half broken down and getting crusty on the edges.

I figure with all the great musicians we lost over the last year, I'd better get all the DC in I can before these guys set sail into the sunset. The band is already missing Bon, Malcolm, and Phil so I figure that this might be their last tour.

I'm looking forward to seeing teenagers and blue hairs rocking to the same band tomorrow night. ACfuckinDC - 40 years of tearing down the house, and leaving ears ringing.

As always, they put on a fantastic show. Stevie stepped in for Malcolm and never missed a note. Slade was great on the drum set, and they played hard and tight all night.

The kid had a smile on his mug all night, so I think he enjoyed the show as much as I did. He's going to see Iron Maiden next month, so I'll have to ask him how they compare.

It's no wonder AC/DC is still selling out stadium venues 40 years after becoming big. They still put on as good a live show as you're going to see.

Apparently there was rightfully more security than back in the day at the T-Dome. I remember hearing that somebody let off a flare during the "Those about to Rock" tour that almost caught the roof on fire. It was said that it happened during the song "This house is on fire."

Mikey - that was on the Flick of the Switch tour and it was kinda funny that the dome was on fire while they played House Is On Fire.

The crowd was a bit more subdued this time around.

the iron maiden show I went to had a huge amount of kids with their fan parents. all the kids were sporting new iron maiden shirts too.


a friend of mine took his 14yr old son to the same ac/dc show.

Apparently, the music we rocked to back in the day is still worth rocking to today.

iron maiden puts on a wicked awesome show. he will very happy he went!

there's one flaw to maiden. they only play a 2 hr show. not a minute longer.

rush was a 3 hr minimum.

Maiden's TV program "Flight 666" was great.

I know a bunch of people who saw Rush last time around - they all said their last tour was as good as any they'd ever seen before. That is impressive.
