My kid bought us tickets to the AC/DC show at the Tacoma Dome tomorrow night, so today I took a day off to pay the proper respect to the bad boys from down under, and I'm playing all the AC/DC I have. Apparently, the kid was raised up right. I just started up with '74 Jailbreak, and I'm going to work my way through the list, and work over some tasty drinks. A bunch of degenerates I know from Shelton and UW are going, too, so my intention is to keep this going for 2 straight days and pretend I'm not half broken down and getting crusty on the edges. I figure with all the great musicians we lost over the last year, I'd better get all the DC in I can before these guys set sail into the sunset. The band is already missing Bon, Malcolm, and Phil so I figure that this might be their last tour. I'm looking forward to seeing teenagers and blue hairs rocking to the same band tomorrow night. ACfuckinDC - 40 years of tearing down the house, and leaving ears ringing.

That's cool dude, I love that lighting cover. Have fun you guy's. Not many bands transcend generations, Floyd is kind of like this. We want a report!

lol
That occurred to me.
I actually don't listen to music daily - just occasionally. So it's one of those "I don't always listen to music, but when I do, I prefer AC/DC" things.

For those about to rock...I salute you! So have a drink on me.... Have fun and maybe find the largest jungle bunny around and ask to ride her shoulders so you can see the stage.

I bought my first 45 in '56. I've listened to some rock & roll. I think that 'A Long Way to the Top' is in the top 10 of straight rock & roll tunes. In the guitar/bagpipe sub genre' it is, of course, number 1. Rock on Dan S. Going to concerts with your kids & both enjoying it is good stuff. Plus the kid bought the tickets. Oh yea, what stam said.

I've always considered you an authority on music, Chuck, so I'm glad to hear you put that song so high on your list. It's always been one of my favorites as well.

Thanks Dan. I do know a bit about music but don't claim to be an authority. Being asked to be the dj for a 27 yr old niece's wedding reception when I'm damn near 70 does do wonders for the music ego of an old man.

When Steve Young, Chris Slade, and Brian Johnson are the next guys in the rotation, I think they'll rock as hard as ever. The roll on your bait is kinda weak, Hank. Try one of those miter box thingies next time - or have a deck hand cut your bait for you.

The band is already missing Bon, Malcolm, and Phil so I figure that this might be their last tour. Doesn't that make them like a cover band now? Why do you always have to piss on someone's parade? GFY
