Fighting the Arabs was never the real thing, any organized force generally cut and run pretty quick and the taliban, and terrorists was gorilla regardless of where it was. You were fighting a motivated but far outmatched advisory. Which was never capable of inflicting much damage on you as we always had the upper hand due to technology.

Fighting a real war against a fairly evenly matched advisory is something we have not seen since Japan and Germany. Problem is we are not the same America and not the same people, the Russian people live much tougher lives than us and care much more about family. For gods sake its the law to take care of your parents when they get elderly, if you don't its straight to prison. Thats a completely different mindset which we are currently lacking.

Not good!!!!! Syrians just captured rebles and terrist groups with israeli made mortars. Russia has given Hezbollah, advanced radar systems which can lock on Israeli aircraft. Also Syria is now firing mortars and artillery back into Turkey. Jordan is also amassing troops and mechanized forces at it Boarder with Syria. Saudi has positioned 40+ fighter jets in Jordan as well.

I also read that if a Suni coalition attempts to support ground troops with aircraft, the only possible successful way would be for the US to attempt to destroy the SAM400s with Stealth aircraft. If they can't take out the SAM 400 any incursion would be quick suicide, they can take out any plane in the region right off the landing strip, as everything is already in range.

The Arabs seem to think they can count on the US or Isreal to counter the SAM anti aircraft threat. So either we are going to quickly enter this thing on the side of Turkey and Saudi, or the Arabs are bluffing with a full scale invasion.

I hope we are not going to inject ourselves into WWIII, over Arabs and oil fields.
