Did anybody else that story in the P-I on page A3 where that guy in Indiana caught that piranah, 11 inches long weighing a pound,
my guess is it must be a state record.heh-heh

Didn't see the story, but I heard of that once back in the Lake Osewgo area where I grew up years ago. I can't remember if it was in the Lake or in the Willamette R (I think it was the river). I also seem to remember that it was far more thn one in that instance though

In Everett a guy caught a four pound piranah out of Silver Lake. They had a big story in the the news paper about it and it made the evening news. They said it was a cousin to the meat eating piranah. The fish was a unwanted pet. This was a few years back but it still give me the creeps, for I have float tubed that lake many times to dust off my fly techniques. Just think of the hole that fish could make in your waders! J.C.B

Pet stores no longer are allowed to sell Piranhas because peoples would release them into local lakes and ponds. Its rare to hear about one being caught nowadays. But years past it wasn’t that uncommon.
