I don't know about booted from the band, but I know they canceled some dates because he essentially went deaf...I hadn't heard if it was a temporary or permanent hearing loss.
If he's totally deaf and needs a job, maybe he can be a professional Rush fan now

Malcom Young no longer remembers the songs and Johnson is deaf. Bowie and Lemmy died. These guys are on their way out. Thankfully they left us a legacy of music ,because this new generation is Fukked

I don't believe it - hope it isn't true- and would prefer they stop touring and retire rather than kick anyone to the curb.

bands just need to figure at ages 60+, just hang it up. the first thing to go in rock bands are vocalist. I saw page/plant back in 97 I think. page was difinately showing signs of vocal road block. geddy lee also had to stop doing songs live nightly that he could no longer do.
imagine these guys who do the "deep throat" death metal cr@p. these guys will have toasted vocal cords by 50 if not sooner.

just heard that axel rose will now replace brian Johnson for the live remaining shows. if this is true, the end of AC/DC is now over. by the time the tour ends the remaining members will have all quit. axel will have owned the rights to AC/DC and kicked angus young out of the band!
