One of the things that separates Trump from the others is that he is simply in this to win. When many of the more chronologically gifted here on PP were kids, awards were earned for first place; winning. Not second, not third, not for simply showing up.
Look at the effort, particularly of the R's now. Trying to finish second. Trump simply wants to win and will do whatever it takes. That is what separates him from the others.

Good post and very true that we used to try to win. We weren't ashamed to win and didn't apologize or offer the losers a consolation prize. We also never expected a consolation prize when we lost. I like winners.

We deserved that by not being involved for decades. Folks are too busy to attend local government meetings, too busy to attend the (say) NOF meetings. Silly too busy to be involved in the operations of the gubmint. We passed that responsibility on to the politicians and are now mad that they created a self-serving process to keep themselves employed.
The US was founded on involvement of the citizenry at all levels.

At the rate Trump is pandering, he's appealing to those who are too dumb to be able to fill out a ballot. At that point, winning will certainly be losing. Once again your assessment is total bullchit. It's your usual answer to any candidate you don't support. Try thinking for yourself Salmo, for once.....now that you're retired you should be able to use reason and information to form an opinion instead of being a pusssy and having to tow the party line. The thing about Trump is that for those of us that truly hate the 2 party system and how corrupt it is, Trump threatens to tear it down. It's funny watching all those that f.ucked this country up tell us that they're the one that knows how to fix their history of f.uck ups. Kinda like the state biologists and fisheries managers that have fu.cked our fishing up but are the only ones that can fix it. If you knew what you were doing you wouldn't have fu.cked it up in the first place. If you're just guessing then just STFU. We're tired of incompetence and liars, or both. So which are you? Incompetent a liar or both?

We Americans should be proud, we've created the best government money can buy. And voting for the Kankled Kunt is going to change that how? It's time to stop saying the same clichés and do something to change the entrenched 2 party system. You liberal fa.gs won't do a thing to change the system because you are all fu.cking liars. You don't care about big money in politics or a corrupt 2 party system. Keep throwing out tired clichés and moronic 2 sentence summations like Salmog does and continue looking like the partisan ball washers you are.

Well there is some good news.
I read that if Trump sweeps today's primaries Republican billionaires don't have anyone to buy with thier SuperPacs. Their only option is to join one of the many anit-Hillary SuperPacs.
And that is why Trump is the front runner. It sure as hell aint because of his ideas or ability to Govern.

We Americans should be proud, we've created the best government money can buy. All the more reason to vote for me, the candidate who is so stinking rich, he cannot be bought. Well I can be bought, but it would take 20 years to print that much money up and by then I'll be out of office and dead!

Yeah, I bet you're having a real tough time deciding. Not really, but how about you? You couldn't get it the five or so times I said it already, so I'll tell you again I'm not voting for either one of those fuksticks. Try to remember this time. Well then I guess we'll just have to agree, because neither am I.

What about the Democrat billionaires and their Super Pacs? I don't think you like them any more than the Repubs.
Billary has flip-flopped on everything she ran on in '08, except she's still getting million$ from Wall Street.
You don't know what Trump believes either because he flip-flopped on everything himself.
Both of 'em are f'n liars. You just need to figure out which lies you like best. With luck Sanders will also sweep today and thus all of the Democrat SuperPacs have no one left to try and buy out. I know I'm being lied to. I'd just prefer those lying to me aren't being paid to lie to me

RVW,
Geez, who peed in your Wheaties? How is my statement BS? Trump is pandering, and he does it by making outrageous claims any thinking person knows he cannot deliver on, and he avoids providing any specific means by which the measures he proposes can actually be implemented. I speculate that is because he knows damn well they can't be. Not every Trump supporter is dumb as a box of rocks, but many speak of their support as though they are.
Thinking for myself is what I do each and every day. You ought to try it yourself. If you're capable.
I don't hate the two party system, however I've come to hate the two leading parties, at least at the national level. If corrupt is all they were, they'd only be half bad. They're worse. Maybe Trump will break up the system, but he'll have to win or we'll never know. It looks like we actually agree that it's a perverse humor that those candidates who have clearly been part of the problem, or the problem personified, are telling us in the campaign that they are the ones who can fix it. Funny how prior candidates said basically the same thing, and then, once in office, failed to fix it. Again.
And if you were half the great thinker you seem to feel you are, you'd know it's nothing like the state and federal fishery managers screwing up the fisheries. The chain of command works from the top down, from the Legislature, the Governor, the Commission, the Director, Deputy Directors, etc. The biologists who do the surveys, gather the data, run the models and calculations, and make recommendations do not establish policy. The real authority is in the authorizing legislation and then the Commission. If you want different results, you have to start at the top, not the bottom. But thanks for insulting my occupation just the same. So do you think I'm a liar or incompetent, or both? And what's your opinion based on. Please show your work.

Easy Sg, I always like to hear your 2 cents. No need to defend your position.
RowVsWade, your prop-wash is messing with my presentation. I'm still gonna support Trump. I just hope he can build a team that can really make a difference regarding the issues. Trade, national security, political parties bought by special interests, etc..
I'd much rather see a Paul Allen type support him over the David Dukes.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

RvW is just getting all sandy because he knows Trump is a fuckin' donkus, but he's going to vote for him anyway.
Trump won't do sh!t and neither will Sanders - because they aren't running for dictator, they're running for President, and the President will get jammed at every step by a Congress looking to protect the status quo. What to change something - quit voting for the piece of sh!t incumbent Congressional reps in your district. Those are the fucktards that have been fuc.ing you for years while you wash their balls by votimg for them again.

I would agree until you are just replacing a politician with another politician. Any chance we're paying our public servants a bit too much?

I guess that's a big reason I'd vote for Trump. He's made his money, has the pretty girl, and is willing to run for POTUS.
That said, I'll do my best to get more involved in local politics while working 60+ hours a week. Maybe Sol Doc or Todd has the time to keep me informed.
