No, we're not paying them too much - we're allowing them to make too much.
For fuc.k's sake - insider trading isn't illegal for them. wtf could possibly justify that?
Go ahead and vote for your local incumbent - and continue getting bent over the barrel regardless of who's in the WH.
Trump made his $$$ in business, where he could fire people who didn't see things his way. Our government doesn't work that way, and he can't make it work the way he wants it to.
It's a cool story, and a nice fantasy, but it isn't real life. The dirty pool of American politics will jam him up - and it would do the same to Bernie. I don't think either one of them stands a chance in DC.

I'm thinking Bernie's what we need right now, not because I think Socialism has a hint of a chance to be implemented in this country (not sure I really want that anyway), but because he and Congress would not be able to agree on ANYTHING, which would, provided Bernie could stave off impeachment long enough, prevent any new, evil $hit from either branch being added to the law books during his term. Let's ramp up the gridlock, people, cause as crappy as the status quo may be, it will only get worse with any legislation passed by the Legion of Doom from here on out.
I actually think Trump, who has profited tremendously from the great work being done in Congress of late, might get along with Congress a little too well to do much to improve things for the average American. A vote for Trump under the guise he's too rich to be corrupted is the ultimate in asshattery and dumbfukkery, if indeed it's possible to be superlative in both categories.

I don't hate the two party system, however I've come to hate the two leading parties, at least at the national level. If corrupt is all they were, they'd only be half bad. They're worse. Maybe Trump will break up the system, but he'll have to win or we'll never know. It looks like we actually agree that it's a perverse humor that those candidates who have clearly been part of the problem, or the problem personified, are telling us in the campaign that they are the ones who can fix it. Funny how prior candidates said basically the same thing, and then, once in office, failed to fix it. Again.
------------------------------
Salmo---Many have described the support Trump has received as a peaceful revolution. I've been sick of both parties for a long time now and if it takes Trump to bring one half of the establishment to its knees then count me in. Tens of thousands changed their party affiliation in MA so they could vote for Trump not because he's a savior but rather he doesn't represent the establishment, in fact he scares the sh.it out of the establishment. This is a big picture kind of thing so you might not understand. I've been here long enough and read enough of your stuff to know that your "up the revolution" talk is hollow. You pretend to be fed up but you're a party hack no matter how they you dress up. You seem to like to emulate the political dogma of your non-thinking political mouth pieces like Todd or Dan but it just makes you look as stupid as they do. Nobody but you and several of the children on here actually believe the sh.it they spew but if it makes you popular with the idiot crowd I say go for it. You certainly wouldn't want to have the foresight to be part of the revolution. It's easier to act like an idiot and parrot stupid clichés.
As to the second half of your excuses....."I'm just following orders" or "it's not my fault because I just did what my superiors asked me to do." Doesn't cut it.

Fu.ck off, you cu'nt. I haven't the voted the party in years, like you've had the GOP balls resting on your chin, You're just the typical I-think-I'm-smarter-than-my-92-IQ-says-I-am faggot, Get the fu.ck out of here, retire from your career of re-selling stolen goods to make a profit and prop up meth heads, and set yourself on fire. You're of no value to the country, you're just one of the many taking advantage of a broken system to get ahead and make a profit on the backs of hard workers that have been robbed by politicians and other assorted pieces of sh!t, Mr. Pawn Shop. Fu,ck you.

Hank-- I don't think so. There is so much hate for the establishment that the moderate elements can find reasons to come together to tear it down. I think the old white GOPe and their antiquated hypocrisy is in the rear view mirror, at least I hope so. I'm tired of the establishments expectations. I don't care who another grown a.ss adult marries. As a libertarian I don't tell others how to live their lives and They don't tell me. I'm sick of the criminal justice system that does not represent EVERYONE fairly. I think our healthcare system has the potential to be the best in the world but not with a tiered scheme that has extremes from the congressional plan and the VA or Harborview. I think every citizen should have equal coverage. There's a lot more that a young fresh and inclusive GOP could bring to the ugly face of modern politics. It often seems that we don't learn from history because if we did we'd take a page or 2 from the fall of the Roman Empire and do better.

Dump the IRS, DEA and several other money holes. National sales tax or flat tax type system.

I don't need a drink to tell you're nothing more than a GOP ballwasher pointing your finger at everyone else.
Tell me more about the fall of the Roman Empire and the causes of their demise.
You should expect those words when you cast judgement on everyone else that you don't upon yousrself, party guy.
I have a hundo that every candidate you've voted for in the last 10 years had (R) next to their name. You voted McCain and you voted Romney, while I didn't vote Obama this time or the last.
One of us is honest, the other is a f'n liar. Want to guess who's who?

KIRO, is reporting that people looking to move to Canada increased 1500 percent after Tuesday. Trump hasn't even won the republican nomination, and he's already making America great.

Vote for Trump if you think he'll make things better.
You won't be any different than those voting for Hillary or Bernie.
Just don't be like RvW pretending like your vote is special and everyone else's vote is the problem.
