So were you helping her out...or trying to make money?
Pick one and stick with it. I'll pick this one: GFY, this is from a guy who has been screwing insurance companies for years. Your type of work is right there with transmission shops and pawn shops...congrats? And your hard on for govt workers is getting stale blah,blah,blah....sounds like you didn't have the smarts or foresight to get into those careers and now you're nothing but a bitter bondo douche bag. thats a pretty stupid statement...

Build a coffin. Throw this all in it. Nail the lid shut. Bury it out back. This. The cost and difficulty of trying will cost far more than what she owes you...and because you have no contract, and are not a contractor, you will likely get nothing after all of that expense and time. Shittty when you do work for a "friend" and they screw you like that. Fish on... Todd

My Cousin sees her often at yoga classes and says she'll make it right. Thanks for the advice of those who weren't being just diks.

Sol Duc is sounding more and more like a huge piece of shi.t.
Trying to slap an unemployed cancer patient with a lien and a lawsuit for shoddy home made cabinet work is grade A douchebaggery.
Especially when he says he was just trying to "help her out" for "$7000" !!!
Made her pay for materials, takes months to complete the job while her kitchen is torn apart (cabinet man on his days off only) and then sticks her with a fat bill all while this poor woman is fighting breast cancer.
Fuc.k you Sol Duc. Its guys like you that give real tradesmen a bad name.

It's pretty obvious you are not a priority to her and your own bad choices created your problem.
Do you blame the tree along the river when you fling your spinner well up it's trunk into its branches?

Actually I bought a door at the bone yard with new hinges and swapped the interior panel with my old one, then Had my Bud paint it to the factory color. Sure beats taking it in the ASS at at a body shop. Good to be resourceful

I'm not a licensed contractor, just a hobbyist working with wood. Sounds like small claims court, she doesn't deny owing me the money, she just doesn't have the money. Her memory might change in front of the Judge though. I've offered to have her send me a hundred bucks a month, but she always has an excuse. Talk about no good deed goes unpunished. I did it for 50% less than a licensed contractor would have charged her, and she was thrilled with the final product. Ah, the intelligence of a Trump voter! You just backed up everything I've said about fools who vote for Trump. By the way, check out the multitude of scams your boy has perpetrated on guys just like you. If you think she stiffed you wait until you feel the sting in your @ss from Trump. Sorry for being so harsh but you being a Trump guy I though I would give it to you "Trump Style!"

Stam, I would head down the street to the local eatery and prey on some of that. All you can eat.

When my 36 year body long shop scam runs out
Solid! The only mistake is your mom didn't swallow. You will never have the wealth that I will have at retirement age......I'm one of the lucky 6 out of 600 lottery winners. Snow bird wherever I choose, probably winter in Tucson with my Sis and BIL...and summer on the Wa coast. Lot's of traveling in a Prevost motor home. Heaven can wait. Retiring at 58 in great health. Rocking this up to Bulkley valley with my bud.
