Actually the opening ceremony is pretty good. Goes through the history of Brazil from the Portuguese, the Amazon, the slaves, and then the supermodels with Giselle strutting her stuff. Cirque Du Soleil choreographer.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

The Olympic games, like every other fuckin' thing in the world, have been ruined by corporate interests.
I rarely watch any more.

Rio sure looks like one of the shitttiest places to hold the games. Sailing and rowing in raw sewage might cause slower times.

Saw a cool ping pong match with one of the kids being 16 years old.

The Olympics are hard to watch..not a Bob Costas fan.
Michael Phelps? Man, can they over-hype what he has done more-yeah..he wins all the time..he drinks..rehabs..comes back..wins. Same as last Olympics..boring...and Bajezzzus ! back that camera waaaaay out..atleast he found an attractive woman to give his kid a fighting chance. I thought all that money could have fixed those teeth..I think he swims so well because he is half shark !
Actually, I am glad to get to the track and field and watch the 100 meter dash. Amazing to see humans run so fast without being chased..and a nice break to see some fit humans instead of the Walmart 16 packers.... Usain Bolt is worth watching to me.
The Olympics are on many channels at my place so when it is commercial time-I can find another channel and watch...make sit work out fine.
Does anyone have ANY interest in Olympic basktball? I sure do not.

The women's 100 meter was really good. Faster than about 95+% of NFL players!! They are some super fit ladies in the races. Wow !

Does anyone have ANY interest in Olympic basktball? I sure do not. Winning a gold medal all by yourself is amazing, but a lot of Phelps gold medals are some what misleading, since they were won in relays, where you have to count on other teammates to help you win. Still a hell of an athlete, but tired of hearing all of the hyperbole.

Wayde Van Niekirk's 400 gold and WR was incredible, especially running in the 8th lane.
