I guess "compelling evidence " has a different meaning to some folks.

I guess it does.. I also put strong weight into my intuition when considering evidence. "What does my gut tell me" disregard what anybody else would think and listen to your gut. Society and science is generally steered by what it feels will be generally accepted my the masses based on the cumlitive belief system. Facts about which don't fit in the "box" are generally discarded. Science believes it's better to falsely educate people to keep them, calm, happy and consuming than telling the truth. It has been this way for a long time.

I also have had this point of view; when I saw the bigfoot in la push one of the first things I felt is a strong feeling of being lied to or purposely misled.

I had been educated in the public school system, dedicated my life to government service and felt like I deserved to know the truth. I felt since I had seen it as a cop on duty, I surely was not the first one. I knew that people had reported seeing this thing since before America became a country, so why did our government feel like we didn't need to know this thing is real? I could not wrap my head around that concept because I knew there was no possible way they didn't know, so why were they hiding it?

The answer has to be "control".

Bigfoot made it easy for me to accept the probability of other weird stuff our government was hiding from us. Which within a decade I was satisfied there was other weird stuff thought to be fairy tales which was real. So the possibilities are endless, nothing would surprise me. I certainly would not discount someones story no matter how crazy it sounded. I would really listen to and consider their story regardless of where my predispositioned thinking was.

You seem confused by the difference between science and society.

You talking sh1t about science on the Internet, discussing trail cams and other technologies is laughable.

People call you a fuckin kook because you are one - not because science has anything to do with it.

Whatever.... you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I could clearly care less.. I'm gonna keep going forward as my crazy ass self, it's much more fun to think the way I do, have very few boundries. look at the world much more like a child than today's adults. It's not a bad thing.

Well, you do show a child's level of understanding.

Do you still enjoy a good game of pat-a-cake?

Since when is it the governments job to advise and protect you from every mythical creature roaming the forest? Should we all have to pass through a government booth as we enter the forest, just to be handed a brochure on how to protect ourselves from the odd Bigfoot, Pterodactyl, Chupacabra, or worse yet, the dreaded Black Hodag?

The issue with Bigfoot is that there is no actual evidence to back up the sightings. There have been some serious studies done on Bigfoot and it's supposed relatives in countries all over the world, and hair and tissue samples were collected and tested, and in every case it was a known critter, most commonly a bear.

People, including yourself, claim to have seen one, yet there has never been a single piece of verifiable evidence. The persuasive powers of the mind and an active imagination are incredible

Even though it's on the maintained portion of the roadway. It's far too realistic and better resembles a bear for it to be a WDFW decoy.

Take the shot.

Or a kid wearing a costume, either way, I'd have shot it.
