If Gaskin couldn't get wide, I don't know of any Clemson player that will. Bama is just too strong and fast side to side....and good luck running right at em'. Clemson will need a healthy dose of RPO spread & inside / bubble RB screens to kill pursuit. They are also need to go deep and hit a couple to keep Bama honest and out of a stacked box. It'll be a good game, but I'm probably going to take the Bama Boogers.

They'll also have to tackle. UW had a lot of times when the tacklers were simply shrugged off.

Clemson gave them a ton of trouble and just ran out of time at the end. Instead of trying to go wide against a fast defense, spread 'em out with your formations and run straight at the gaps. While this dual-threat QB is screwing with Saban's defensive game plan. Do it just like last time only a little bit better.

Scarbrough is a beast and just swats defenders off. He's just too much 1:1. Clemson will have the gang tackle to be certain...which leaves other parts of the field wide open. If I were Clemson, I'd go almost 100% man-2-man on the corners and stack the box to stop Hurts legs and Scarbrough. Make the 18 year old beat you through the air. Also, bring some non-traditional blitzes (corners) on non-traditional blitzing downs and get into the kids head. Past that, not sure how to game plan for Bama. But that's why the coaches make the big bucks and I'm here on the internet....

Bama's D is WAY better this year and they have a serious ball control RB. Bama is amazing at closing gaps - its partially why they have so many defensive TD's this year. Not sure what kind of TE's or FB's Clemson has, but they better get those guys ready to play a bigger (sneakier) part. Damn it...I hate Nick Satan.

Deshaun Watson brings elements Browning couldn't offer. I believe he has a chip on his shoulder regarding the last two Heisman votes. If he plays like he did in last years game, Clemson will have a shot at this. SF

Saban fired Kiffin today so Sark gets to call the plays Monday. Thank God he wasn't calling the plays Saturday. Tide fans will find out Monday just how truely awful Kiffin really is as an OC. No announcement yet of Chip accepting the now vacant offensive consultant job. But I'm expecting one shortly .

Well, there's already a Booger McFarland, but Booger Sarkisian has a nice ring to it. I can only hope that Booger Cam grabs some more gold during the NC.

Kiffin wasn't "fired". He had already accepted the FAU job a couple of weeks ago and this was all per plan. The NLI recruit signing deadline is Jan 15th, so Kiffin has to go manage that with his new team (final sales pitches etc.).
That Rose bowl was pretty epic. SUC is going to be a load next year - which makes me not happy.

Darnold is a cool cat under pressure. Hell of a game. Sad to see the college season coming to an end. SF

Yep, both QB's played with. That PSU QB did a nice job sliding around the pass rush.
Fun Fact: That was the Chipper's offense that PSU was running.

. The SC and OK games should be good. SC and Penn should come down to wire, SC has too much talent and will pull it out in 4th....blah blah blah
Todd, if your going to make predictions and add commentary, make sure your not talking out your ass. Either base your predictions off something relevant or just stick to the blah, blah, blah.....or both, like I did. All kidding aside, this has been a great bowl season (the last week anyways). Hate to see it end, and am already looking forward to next year. I wonder how many times the Coogs will......Coog it? Dawgs win pac12 again? SC win the south? I love this schit Fuk, I just quoted myself above.... not cool

Shoot, outside of picking Bama to beat the Dawgs, those two games are the only ones I got right this week!

All we learned in 2016 was:
Alabama is unbeatable.
Everyone else was.
Bring on the 2017 season already!!!!!

Dwat- can we get the latest rankings? Also, to be clear...the final game is worth 2 points correct? What's the tie breaker going to be?

after work yes ill have it up. last game (National championship) will be worth two points and if there is a tie breaker it will be closest to the combined final score for the national championship.
thanks for the reminder.
