Thank you for your e-mail correspondence to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW).

The biologists in the Mill Creek Office are having meetings about the Skykomish River (and others) right now. They have not made a decision yet and there is nothing as of yet in writing.

For further information regarding the Skykomish River, you may contact our Mill Creek Office at (425) 775-1311.

Have a great day!!

If you have further questions, please email again or call (360) 902-2700. Our Customer Service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Koenings

Well I just got off the phone with Kent at Ted's Sporting Goods in lynwood. He swears the Sno/sky are open for Silvers. He said he found out on the fishing hotline( which is down for maint. at the momment ). He also mentioned folks are getting some large silvers on the sno to 13 lbs.

Guess its time to fire up the sled!

Now I'm mad, because I let go a nice silver around 8 lbs. this morning in Monroe. Two boats went by me and also caught and released fish too. I mentioned the opening rumor and one guy even called Sky Valley Trader (i think) to see if it was open and they told us that it was closed for sure. darn

The Sky and the Snoho both are open for silvers. Call 360-902-2500, the fishing Hotline at the DFW, then you will get the info for yourself.

I believe the change came Saturday in the A.M.

The Sky is open from the mouth to the mouth of the Wallace.

Good fishing guys

The Skagit is also open and Lake Wash. is under consideration.Don't git all giddy boys. This probably means the rivers are open to nets as well.

It's open...go to
http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/fish/regs/regchng/sep2200d.htm

Print it and carry it with you to show the irrate guy next to you on the bank when he's screaming at you to release it and shaking a current regs book at you.
