P.S. Nick, I'll throw you a bone here...Nebraska has more wins than Notre Dame and Oregon combined, too, and I am great with that Thanks Buddy! I picked them to go 9-3 at the start of the season, losing to Wisky, OSU and 1 at large and they went 9-3 and did exactly that. So I can say they met my expectations this year I guess. Hope they can get good bowl & opponent and go 10-3. I also hope Riley's year #3 will be as good as Petersen's year #3!

With Riley as the coach and the pieces that Nebraska has, I'd say they have a pretty fair shot of making a run at the Big 10, but that conference is pretty loaded at the top!

I agree Todd, but shady fvckery knows no bounds.
You are correct. The only two teams of any possible impact this weekend are Clemson and Washington. Bama could lose 100 - 0 and they would still make the playoffs. OSU doesn't play. Is it Friday yet?

They considered it. They had thought to make conference champion mandatory, after they had two teams from the same conference play for the title. They chose not to adopt it as a hard and fast rule. That is for the College Football playoff, we are talking about the Rose bowl so not exactly the same thing

Just because the Dawgs are sitting at #4 today does not mean if they win Friday they are in. That committee chair looked pretty pissed to have the Dawgs in there.
Not sure who would be happier with a Big champ v. Pac champ in Pasadena, the Rose Bowl or the CFP.

Bama could lose 100 - 0 and they would still make the playoffs. Not only make the playoffs, but still be ranked #1. Who else could claim #1..and why? This. No one has any claim on it at all, as far as I am concerned Alabama has already locked up #1 no matter what they do this weekend. Plus, I think they will win by three touchdowns this weekend, anyway The #4 team will definitely need to be prepared to say "It was an honor just to be there!". Fish on... Todd

16 Huskies named to the Pac-12 All Academic Team as either 1st 2nd or HM.
Worm is certainly turning on Mountlake! Coach Pete's recruiting is going to get easier and easier each year.

The academics stuff is fine, and all, but what about the important stuff? Pac12 Awards: Offensive Player of the Year – Jake Browning, QB, Washington: Browning, a sophomore from Folsom, Calif., completed 214 passes in 329 attempts for 3,162 yards and a school record 40 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. Browning ranks fourth in the FBS in passing efficiency (181.6) and 17th in completion percentage (.650). Was named Pac-12 Player of the Week and garnered many nationally weekly honors for his performance against Oregon on Oct. 8. He set the UW record with six touchdown passes, breaking the record of five, which he tied earlier in the season against Idaho on Sept. 10. He finished the game completing 22-of-28 for 304 yards with no interceptions, and rushed for two touchdowns, setting the school record for total touchdowns in a game, with eight. Under Browning’s guidance, the Huskies are averaging 44.8 points per game, well ahead of the school-record 41.9 points per game set in 1991. He’s led Washington to its first 10-win season since 2000 and has the Huskies ranked in the Associated Press Top 10 for 13 consecutive weeks. Browning is the first Husky to earn the honor since quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo in 2000. Taylor Rapp, Freshman Defensive Player of the Year Freshman Defensive Player of the Year – Taylor Rapp, DB, Washington: Rapp, a freshman from Bellingham, Wash., has played in all 12 games this season, starting the last seven as the team’s fifth defensive back. He’s fifth on the team with 42 tackles and second on the squad with two interceptions, both coming against USC. He contributed to a Washington secondary that was second in the Pac-12 against the pass, allowing 201.9 yards per game. First Team All Pac12 Offense: Jake Browning, QB Myles Gaskin, RB John Ross, WR Trey Adams, OL Jake Eldrenkamp, OL Second Team All Pac12 Offense: Coleman Shelton, OL First Team All Pac12 Defense: Elijah Qualls, DL Azeem Victor, LB Budda Baker, DB Sidney Jones, DB Second Team All Pac12 Defense: Vita Vea, DL Keishawn Bierra, LB Second Team All Pac12 Special Teams: Dante Pettis, Kick Returner Honorable Mentions: TE Darrell Daniels DL Greg Gaines DB Kevin King TE Drew Sample LB Psalm Wooching Of all those Washington Players listed, only four are seniors. WASHINGTON placed the most players on the first team with nine selections. USC is next with four, although Adoree’ Jackson accounts for two spots as a DB and RS, followed by UCLA and UTAH with three selections each ... Pac-12 South Division champion COLORADO placed two on first team. It had just one first team selection in the previous five years (WR Paul Richardson, 2013). STANFORD and WASHINGTON STATE each had two first team selections, while ARIZONA STATE had one. That bodes well for the future of this team. Fish on... Todd

Gaines as an HM is a joke. He should roast and eat the whole selection committee.
That guy is going to be a first rounder.

If Clemson and Washington win this weekend, what's the chance that not only do the top 4 stay the same, but that Ohio State drops to #4 because they have the same record as Clemson and Washington, have had two really close games the last two weeks, and did not win, or even play in their conference championship?

I was hoping John Ross III got the offensive player of the year. And I'm happy Adoree' Jackson got defensive player of the year. Watching those two go at it when USC was in town was epic! Probably the best one on one battle in all of CFB this year.

I really hope that Washington learned something from that USC loss...yeah, they got outplayed, on both sides of the ball, but I think it was a lot simpler than that.
It was the first high pressure game they had been in. The Arizona game looked high pressure, but wasn't. It was early in the season and Pac12 games are always tough, blah blah blah.
In the USC game they not only were thinking they could be a playoff team, but the Committee did, too. This was uncharted territory, period, and the fact that the team is almost all underclassmen didn't make it any easier, they wilted under that pressure, especially Jake, who by far had his worse game this year, maybe in his college career.
This is their second high pressure game. They know they can do it, they know they can handle it, and they know they are good enough to win, and even win convincingly against a really good #8 ranked Colorado team.
I see this playing out three ways.
1. They wilt again, and get pushed around by the Buffaloes. I think it's a real possibility, but really unlikely.
2. They go toe to toe with a good team, and it looks a lot like the Utah game. They win, and win without a lot of fear, but have to have the pedal down the whole game and not make mistakes. Probably the most likely scenario.
3. They come out and romp like they did last week, and have most of the season. I think Colorado is too good to let that happen, but you never know...this is a high pressure game for Colorado, too. It's not impossible that Colorado could make the final four, it just would take 50 other things to happen, but it begins with them winning this game. Either way, a CU win here would put them in an awesome bowl game, and set them up for a show down next year with USC for the south (which, I guess, is coming anyway...better to start that with ending this season with some big wins). I think Washington winning by 17 or more is far far more likely than losing in any way to CU, but I think the game will probably be closer than that.
44-32, Huskies, in a hard fought, but in the end, comfortable win.
Fish on...
Todd

You are right about Arizona...there are more Seattle sports fans there than Arizona fans as it is, especially if we aren't talking about their college football teams.
It would almost feel like a home game for the Dawgs to play there.
As I noted a couple of days ago, too, if the Dawgs were to whoop up I could easily see them, and Clemson, too, for that matter, move ahead of Ohio State. More wins, and Conference Champioinships, to boot. They'd still get to have their darling Ohio State in the playoffs, but would be able to do their fuckin jobs and make Conference Championships matter.
It would, however, fuckup their plan to have Ohio State and Alabama meet in the National Championship game if they moved Ohio State all the way to #4, so I wouldn't count on that.
Fish on...

Have none, have to go get some....
What size do you recommend?
12 or 16oz...how many? If I were you I would get about 120 lbs and wear it tightly. 16 oz before, during, and after.
