I'm not use to this playoff dealo. What are the Husky fans hoping for? Are we a shoo in for the Rose bowl, or are we waiting for bigger things? Like a Championship bowl. Please explain to this idiot what's WTH is going on? Thanks in advance.

The Huskies, if the win the Pac-12, might be in the 4 team playoff for the National Championship. They would, after the games are done, be rated in the top 4 of the Selector's Poll.

If they win the Pac-12 but don't get selected for the Final 4 they would get the Rose Bowl.

Not sure what happens if they lose. I suspect that if they lose then whoever won the Pac-12 would go to the Rose and the UW would get some other major bowl.

No - we don't know yet. CU still has to play. Dawgs are the North Champions. CU or USC in the south.

CFB playoffs are the top 4 teams. Only one of those teams can win the national championship. #5 and below is SOL and playing for lesser bowls.

The Dawgs are on the outside looking in. Alabama, 2 Big 10 Teams (OSU & Penn State) & Clemson will be the 4 teams unless Penn State loses in the next ten minutes OR the Big 10 Championship game against Wisconsin.

It's a mess right now....and the Dawgs are screwed without some serious help.

To add...if Penn State wins the Big 10, they will get the 4th spot, not the winner of the Pac 12. The Big 10 is just brutal this year and honestly, the Pac 12 is a bit down. If it were not for USC coming on strong, it would be pretty bleak as a conference overall. It's all about strength of schedule at that point and the Big 10 has it this year.

I think if the Dawgs win out they still have a shot, no matter what happens in the Big 10, but it is far from assured. The Committee could easily put two Big 10 teams in, if they are PSU and OSU.

At this point the Dawgs need to worry about winning the conference title and beating Colorado/SC to do so. The east coast bias has always been there, and there will always be a good excuse to put someone else in.

Beat whomever represents the South big and then throw the hides on the committee's conference table.

Yeah, but those two polls don't count for the Playoff.

Truth...but lately the Committee has been ranking the Dawgs higher than the AP and Coaches Polls...but I think they will be #4 this week after Michigan drops to 6 or 7...but none of it matters until after next week, and schit is going to be a big mess in the Big 10.

Looking at a common opponent, the Buffalos and the Huskies were two of the four teams that defeated WSU this year. Colorado beat WSU, 38-24, at home. In the biggest game of the season, the UW won 45-17 on the WSU home field, laughing all the way, ha, ha, ha, ha...

The Huskies scored seven more points and held Wazzu to seven less, than the Buffalos did. This Friday's game is on a neutral field; the Huskies are playing for a possible National Championship bid. If the Daily Racing Form was handicapping the PAC-12 Championship game, the University of Washington would be picked as the "best bet of the day."

On a side note, one ESPN analyst predicted WSU could be going back to El Paso, for their post season play.
