I see Sagrins has the Pac-12 north 2nd only to the SEC west and ahead of both Big divisions. But the ESPN note was sent so all arguments have to be made in support of said memo.

Dawgs will get royally [Bleeeeep!] and get stuck against some crappy Big 10 team in the Rose Bowl and the Pac will win their 9th of the past 11 Rose Bowls and what 80 of the past 100??

But at least we will get to see the "best" four teams in the playoff instead of a team that, you know, actually earned it on the field of play.

But yeah, I have to agree with Brood. Even after we demolish CO on Friday, bet we get the shaft and don't make the playoffs.

There's no doubt that there is a east coast, west coast bias. That includes the Hawks and the Huskies. That will never change.

I didn't say that I agreed with it. The Dawgs should get in over any 2 loss team, but that's just the fair and honest way to do it. Not that it will actually occur. As a Husker fan, I've been screwed out of more national championships than most can handle (like 6 of them). It sucks horribly.

I think it will boil down to this. Out of the Pac12 and Big10 championships game, whomever puts up the largest beat down will probably get the nod. If Penn State just kills Wisconsin (they won't) and the Dawgs eek by CU, then Penn State will probably get the nod and vice versa. Like I said, the Dawgs have to win BIG now. It's all up to them. Thrashing WSU was a good step and jumped them back into contention. CU is good, but they aren't that great. Dawgs should be able to handle them pretty well with solid corner play.

The horseshit part is that Ohio State is sitting at home next week and is going to get in...when the "head to head" and "Conference Championships" are two of the four main criteria that the Committee is ordered to consider when making their decision.

Ohio State lost to Penn State, and will not be the Big 10 champs.

They will get in because they are good, and the Committee really wants them in. Those cocksuckers would still put Louisville in just to get Lamar Jackson more playing time so he could get the Heisman.

With all the teams losing a game or two except for Alabama, this year there will be a lot of outcry about stepping up to 8 games...but then instead of the 2-6 teams arguing about who gets to be 2, 3, and 4...then we'll have the 6-12 teams arguing about who gets to be 6,7, and 8.

P.S. If a one loss Pac 12 champion doesn't get into the playoffs when there aren't at least two, if not three undefeated teams, then this is as big of a sham as the BCS was.

We'll see about OSU. While I think they are going to be in, they could very well get bumped by the 3 conference championship game winners (assuming they all win). Clemson #2, Washington #3 and PSU #4. OSU on the outside looking in at #5. I doubt it, but you never know.

What would really turn this into a [Bleeeeep!] show, is if Bama finds a way to lose the SEC championship game. That would be special and highly entertaining. Some poor team will be sacrificed at the alter of Saban, so Bama can make the cut.

Drawing Alabama in the first round?

If PSU wins I think the Big gets two teams leaving UM as the highest ranked and thus in the Rose Bowl against the winner of the PAC. Which I think is the most likely scenario.

If the Dawgs win Friday and somehow make the playoffs they'll slide in at # 2 or 3. I don't see the committee giving coach Pete three weeks to prepare for an Alabama team that runs a sloppy version of a Sark offense. An offense the Dawgs have proven several times to be able chew up and spit out!
