If you could only pick one Husky as your favorite player, who would it be? Mine would be Napoleon Kaufman, damn he was fun to watch. At any given time he could take it to the house with his blazing speed. That boy had some serious guns on him and ran with power, even though he wasn't big. Who's your pick ?

This is like naming your favorite AC/DC song.
How do you do that?
If I had to name just one - Steve Emtman. He simply dominated the guy in front of him - and sometimes more than one guy. He was mean, huge, and he owned the line of scrimmage. #1 draft pick, played on the unbeaten 91 team, from our own great state of Washington - he has to be my pick.
Now I want to name about 10 other Huskies that were badasses, too.

I agree with everything that Dan just said... it's a ten way tie with Emtman barely edging out the field.

See, that wasn't hard. Too bad Steve's NFL career was cut short.

I almost agree with Dan But since he took Emtman I'll take Lincoln Kennedy. Same team left tackle.

No Warren Moon? You guys must have completely forgotten about Jermaine Kearse. There's a guy from WA that's near and dear to my heart. That would be Hugh McElhenny..part of the 49ers Million Dollar Backfield and retired number 39. My old boss told me stories about Hugh McElhenny, sounds like he was a real stud. I wish I could have seen him run. How well did he do in the NFL?

Good call on Milloy, forgot about him. He had a great NFL career.

Outside fan's perspective....Emtman was the best Husky I ever saw play. The dude was straight up murderer.

I always enjoyed watching Marques Tuiasosopo play. +1 That game against Stanford was the best individual performance I ever saw in Husky Stadium!

Mark Brunell was no slouch. He went on to have a good NFL career too.
I got to see Sonny Sixkiller against CAL in Berkeley in 1971. Huskies won that one.
Paul Skansi gets honorable mention.

Doug Martin and Jacque Robinson Great pull there! Doug Martin ate at my house about once a month when he was a Husky. Great guy. Dirt poor. And really missed his Mom. He's probably the main reason you don't see me thrashing these kids when they F-up as it's hard for us to fully understand their situation. It was super cool when he signed the first million dollar contract in NFL history. I still have his #79 Vikings jersey and always wore #73 in High School because of him. Micheal Jackson and Nesby Glasgow were also two of my favorites from that team! Those three taught me the "Say Who" chant .

Gotta go with Emtman... just a beast. Plus I was attending the UW during that reign of power, so got too see it first hand.
Lots of other great players already mentioned.
For some reason I always liked that Cody Pickett grew up on "Chicken Dinner Lane" in Caldwell.
