SteelheadDude- Why the comments about the Alumaweld, don't you have better things to do like fish. Personally I like my generic Alumaweld ...if thats what a hand crafted boat is, anyways... gets me to where I'm going just fine. And as for people cathing silvers, I think Saukit2em and RJKelly can atest not many folks are catching them out there. I was just tryn to help them out.

8 foot leader. I am sorry to say we are in the same boat as I am stuck with a 18 ft super v lt as well as a 16 ft alumaweld drift boat. Must say I would not have anything else.

What's with all the hostility here? I thought 8-FOOT's post was pretty interesting, and it obviously works better than most techniques being employed out there. So what's the problem? And what's with the "liberal a-hole" comment 8-FOOT? Like all liberals are a-holes, and all conservatives are fine people, huh?

And now we're moving on to making fun of peoples' boats? My goodness this thread is sinking low. I don't care if a guy fishes from a floating log, if he's able to catch fish, then he has all he needs. All the rest is just fluff and amenities that are nice, but in no way needed.

Maybe it's the political season that has you guys so crabby. You guys really shouldn't be that way now that the fish are coming in. 8-FOOT, I enjoyed your post on technique, but not the comments about liberals. And the rest of you guys, my god man, mellow out.
