I was fishing around the Red Barn today just after daybreak and saw either 2 seals or otters. Can anyone else confirm this siteing.

As for a river report, the water level was perfect. However, the color was mud. I didn't fish too much longer after either seiing seals and the mud color river.

was more than likely a river otter. Seals would be too big to make it past the weir above Modrow, much less be hanging out way up at the red barn.
River otters are getting to be pretty scarce and if you saw two together that is a real treat. Due to habitat loss and trapping their numbers are pretty low.

forgot to add, did you see their size? Big diference in seal and river otter size. Also river otters have a little more noticable hair ( if you oonly saw their heads )

Try beaver. There are many on the kalama. It may have been otter but I am sure not seal. Otters are very rare. But if what you saw was playing around and not very scared by you I would guess otter.
