Boycott? Oh don't worry we are. Libtards are trying to blame this on Trump; nevermind Obama was in the White House when Colin Kaepernick started this, the drama queen whining about "oppression" from his $13Million dollar house. Take the entertainment dollars you used to waste on pay per view games, tickets, and NFL merchandise and spend it supporting the US tourism industry in some way or another. Real people supporting families work in the tourism industry, not America-hating multimillionaires politicking on their jobs.
Thank you Mr President for having the balls once again to say the things that the majority of our citizens are thinking.

After Trump's tirade against NFL players who protest during the anthem, I read a suggestion that made me smile. What if EVERY black professional athlete in the NFL, NBA, and MLB took a weekend off from playing. Face it, without black athletes, there wouldn't be much left of professional sports in the U.S.
The president should focus on learning how to lead a nation and stay out of professional sports, since he's not any good at either.

Sol Duc, now is the time to make them pay for their constant activism and pushing progressive ideals. Call all of their advertisers and ask them if they or their products support NFL in promoting anti-American values.
Gooybob, the issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. Sports are about coming together as Americans to compete, regardless of your race or politics. NFL must respect this!
Keep in mind this is the same NFL which had players come out speaking out against my locker room talk. Like they never even grabbed a pussy!
When given a choice between sports or football and divisive politics I'm betting most will reject football and divisive politics. Football fans just wanted to be left alone and the SJW brigade came to inject politics into their entertainment.
Even in Seattle, people are not watching. These are fans who demand respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem!

If you actually think a small handful of right wing loud mouths will even make a blip on the NFL's income stream then it's possible, though hard to believe, that you are even stupider than the last time you wasted bandwidth here.
The NFL is ten times more popular than Trump will ever be, and now thanks to him blowing off his cakehole baseball players are doing it, too...and the NBA will all be doing it.

Evo, Rosa Parks was protesting the segregation of public transportation. So she was protesting segregation AND also public transportation, OK? Kaepernick, currently unemployed, explains he is "not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color." So he was protesting the flag AND also a country that in his opinion oppresses black people, OK?
The US Government has been paying the NFL to do the National Anthem to increase enlistment in the military. The NFL takes over $6.8 million of taxpayer dollars to advertise for America and then lets the players disrespect America in the middle of the patriotic ad. All while they are getting paid on America's dime!
You think the athletes would still have a job, interrupting a Pepsi commercial with their protest? Then why should they get away with doing it to America? Fire the sons of bitches!

it wasn't until 2009 when the national guard paid the NFL over 5 million that team started coming onto the field for the anthem.

I heard that before the Alabama rally, Trump bet Pence $1 dollar that "he could get a whole bunch of liberals to kneel for him" before the end of the weekend. Pence paid up and Trump bought a diet coke with the proceeds.
Personally, I don't believe I've ever seen a topic where everyone involved is so very right and so very wrong at the same time. Good job America,

I actually think it's a fairly relevant comment, I just saw it posted on a major news outlet about an hr before you regurgitated it as your own. For the sake of conversation I'd ask if you're protesting at your job (like the NFL players) but of course you aren't....because you can't.
I think that coming out against inequality, racism, bigotry etc. just about always puts you on the right side of history. More power to those making a stand.
Trump has been anti-NFL since the old USFL days. He owned the New Jersey Generals and sued the NFL unsuccessfully. He has been against the NFL ever since he failed.

Actually Trump and the other USFL owners won their anti-trust suit against the NFL. They were awarded $1 dollar in damages. Under anti-trust law payouts, the damages were tripled to $3 dollars (and I'm sure their lawyers got $2.99). This totally makes up for the $163 million they collectively lost when the league folded immediately afterwards.
I swear, between this fiasco and all the other crap going on these days...I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

The USFL never cashed the $1.00 check.

If the players want to actually put their money where their mouths are and go on strike, that would go a long ways toward gaining respectability, otherwise they just come off as spoiled brats playing the race card. Put some skin in the game, boys.
...and be thankful for being born with the natural ability to even be in a position where anybody has heard of you.
p.s.. send sherman to cleveland for a third round pick in 2019....just to let them know who's boss.
Agree...along with Bennett who lied he got man handled in Vegas by the Cops, then the video came out from someone who recorded it with their cell phone, they treated him with the utmost respect. By trading Sherman and Bennett we could start rebuilding the Oline. Picking up Richardson was a great move. They need to lock him up to along term contract.

I read up on the US code regarding the flag. And no where does it state one needs to stand, sit, kneel or do backflips as a show of respect. It does state though that no part of the flag is to be used on an athletic uniform. So those stupid white helmets the Huskies occasionally wear is definitely disrespectful to the flag. It also states that it should never be displayed flat or horizontal so every singing of the national anthem in Husky stadium, and many other stadiums, is also disrespectful to the flag.
Of course facts no longer matter just as long as we'all have something or some "others" to be outraged at! That's really all that maters in today's America.

Fish on...
Todd
Todd, Consider the source here. Sol Duc? He doesn't know his left foot from his right foot. Neither do most of the other brainless knuckleheads complaining about this. Not to mention they probably contribute VERY LITTLE to society. The funny thing about guys (suckers) like Sol Duc and the rest is that they are doing the very thing the protesters want. GIVING THEM ATTENTION! I think an old idea of mine can be reused for Sol Duc. He can recruit Rich G and some of the other boneheads along with his pal Terrible Ted and they can go to NFL games and poach the protesters. They can start by occupying Quest Field. They can kidnap Russell Wilson, tie him up and Terrible Ted can use his high powered bow to target practice on him. They can play Ted's song about 13 year old girls over the PA system while he's shooting. I'm sure all of them would love to have their human tags so they can tag each protester proudly. And of course, we know because they make it so obvious their hatred of black people that it would be their pleasure. Maybe instead of killing them they could capture them and make them slaves. One problem with that is that they would get their white asses kicked back up into their throats. Like you said, no matter how much disdain some white people have for the protesters their greed will far exceed their racism. Do you think Jerry Jones protested with his team because he's a humanitarian? No he did it because if the athletes decide to strike Jerry's cash flow would drop dramatically. Jerry by the way is/was a big Trump backer. I will give him some credit for sort of disputing Trump on this matter. My dad was a retired Colonel in the Air Force. A World War II veteran. He flew B-17s and all missions were over Berlin. He was a Texas born and raised racist BUT when all of the demonstrations were going on in the 60's it pissed him off to no end BUT he said he fought for their right to do it and that's that. As you know Todd, your dealing with some people here that just don't get it and never will, (Sol Duc, Rich G and so many others). I would really like to know just what they have contributed to society. Have they been employed all of their lives and how much have they paid in taxes? How may kids have they put through school, how much have they contributed to charities and so on. I have a feeling it would be on the very low end of the scale yet they sure do have bold opinions with pretty much zero to back it up. I saw a thing on TV the other night and it reminded me of Rich G, Sol Duc and some of the other geniuses here. They asked a bunch of Trump fans to show them on a map where North Korea was. Out of 10 people not one of them could show where it was. Some thought is was in Africa, some in Australia and well you get the message. It was frightening. This country would be in much better shape if people were required to take a test to see if the are FIT to vote. Trump is a hack and he will be gone in less than 4 years thank God. He's really making America great again. Hahahahahahahahahaha

Maybe you should learn to read. You know since Section 170 states what you should do during the National Anthem. Also "displaying flat or horizontal" is no where in the code (I mean common sense would tell you that if so, it would make it impossible to place it on a casket). However section 176 does state it should never be carried flat or horizontal. I am sure you know the difference in display vice carried.

Yeah, except the difference between carried & displayed is not the only thing in your post you were incorrect on. Reading comprehension is a real thing.

And the free market has spoken again.
Goodell has acquiesced and has sent a letter to all (32) team owners in his support of standing for the Anthem & Flag. Ratings! Ratings! Ratings!
Peacefully protesting is one of the most important rights we have as Americans. However, we are not immune to the consequences of our own actions, especially while on our employers time.
Refuse to bake a LGBTQ cake...run the risk of going out of business.
Refuse to stand to stand for the Anthem...run the risk of going out of business.
Money just doesn't talk, it SCREAMS the loudest.

I am pretty sure exactly the opposite of this happened.
When I was a kid the Anthem was broadcast on the radio, at the the SF Giants network, for every game. Now, there are commercials instead; it is viewed as a "break".
