The silver fishing had been good all last week, no kings. This rain certainly will change things. Took a look this morning, the Satsop still way out and muddy, the Chelalis is high but fairly clear above the mouth of the Satsop. Lots of debris floating down river. Many new brush piles to watch out for. Be careful on windy days for a while, quite a few trees only one good blow away from coming down. Mabey by Tuesday if it doesn't rain.

Anybody been further up the Chehalis, around the mouth of the Skook? Do the silvers run that far up?

The Girl and I were looking for a spot to fish today and we were also thinking maybe the Satsop, but decided to head to the Kalama. Fished from the red barn and up, released five silvers and missed several other strikes. The water was good color, should be even better color and height tomorrow. We did notice though that there were A LOT of trash down there. We grabbed as much as we could. Just a reminder, try to keep it clean!

There is good fishing to be had above the Fuller bridge. Not much bank access though. I have done well in past years after an inch or two of rain up river by the silos. Eggs under a bobber on the seams works well. If there are any kings around they should be up there now. I may try there monday. Will post upon my return.....
