I bought it from a buddy for a couple hundy...just to beat up with zero concern and use as a cheap hunting and fishing rig. It lasted exactly 1 deer season and gave out in my driveway as we returned on the last night of the season. I'll roughly break even on scrap - maybe. It did it's job. Barely.

Evo’s Tahoe is going to be an S-10 Blazer parts car by the sound of things.

Evo was just comparing my ‘16 Z71 Colorado to a [Bleeeeep!] old S10 a few days ago. Now an S-10 suddenly isn’t too bad! Maybe it’s because Evo figured out the S-10 is right in his wheel house.

Unfortunately for Evo, that ride comes with a job.

We made a mistake of buying a new 85' with the most gutless 2.8 liter POS engine. A couple years later they put a 4.3 in them. The trans was super clunking sounding too. It was some what of a bomb at the time. Ford truck owner for life from now on.

2003 4.3L vtec. ~275K miles - all street miles (zero off road). Maroon. No body damage, runs good. Some rust in the lower door corners and underside due to being in Michigan it's whole life. I think I spent more on camo h20 proof seat covers & mats than on the actual truck, because my buddy basically gave it to me. It's not bad, I just don't want to spend the money on a transmission. I overloaded it with 3 dead deer and too much gear on the way home and burned up an already questionable transmission. I was hoping it would last for a couple of years just for a weekend camping rig, instead of 2 months. Oh well...

Nick, wait until you load a bull moose WHOLE! That will fu(k that tranny proper! We did that 2 years ago on a 37" Shiras that was just suicidal. I was just fine with it being smaller than my WA moose, so a European mount was cheaper than another shoulder mount. Bassturd took it like a thief stealing Evo-lotions welfare checks from the mail box! Right in the throat! Funny thing is, in Idaho nobody really looks twice if you have a bull moose loaded WHOLE in your truck while parked at liquor store! Actually, the guy in front of me bought the half gallon of Pendleton on the condition that he wanted to see us get it out. No worries, my buddy has a winch mounted on his shop ceiling. FYI a Tahoe is a 4 door full size Blazer, the Suburban is 16 inches longer... may end up getting on of them not sure, want a tahoe...
