I'm not able to make it to the beach for the clam tides. It was a very nice day in Seattle yesterday and evening. I was hoping to hear of peoples escapades at the beach. I was hoping it was nice there for people that went.. take care JP.

Melanie and I went out to Mocrocks for Sunday's dig, terrible surf conditions, first time we haven't limited in years. Surf was way up, not many shows further up the beach and productive areas were never really exposed. I saw one other person with 3 clams (that's how many I had) and a couple with a clam or two. That was it! Melanie only had a single. Other then that 95% or more were clamless at 15 minutes before the low. That's when we bailed, surf kept rising as did the wind.Never seen it that bad as far as lack of clams, we would have saved ourselves the trip if we had checked the surf report. Strong southwesterly blow, rain at times. Fishermen we saw were fishless. Bob R

Friend of mine and his wife, dug.....worked hard......3 small clams !!!!

Glad I waited for later digs to start my clam digging experience after a "break of 40+ years".

The beaches are like ghost towns.

Thanks, Doc

Been following the sea conditions forecast. We'll have three nights to try for limits

We went tonight. A little windy but just 1 little shower.

Excellent digging for Mrs.fp and fp watching her dig.

Didn't limit last night off Grayland Beach State Park, but the clams we got were nice sized. Surf was not what was predicted. Will be out again this evening and tomorrow.

Surf was good tonight, rain was pretty bad at times. Discovered a new leak in my waders somewhere in the crotch.... and I never waded that deep. It was ALL rainwater!

Got limits for our motley crew of two (just me and fp), but it WASN'T easy. Greatest diversity of the season in both clam bags. Looked at the clock as we drove off the beach... 7:45 pm!

Wish I could have followed eyeFISH. We found some clams, but no limits. Shows were very subtle. Try again tonight.

What kind of a lantern are you wearing? Looks like a Cat product. A lot easier to manage than a propane lantern.

bb, we both use them. They work.. Costco had/has them for around 30 bucks. Well worth it.
