Hey y'all. Question for the Green River anglers on the board...

Is there a marked path down to Icy Creek, or do just sort of have to know where the trail is? I've heard this is a nice long hike down to the river, but I don't know exactly where it is. Don't want to step on anyone's toes here or invade anyone's secret spot (I'm not sure how well-known this area is or what kind of pressure it gets), but if anyone is willing to share, any sort of reply or email would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure but you should check the regs to make sure Icy Creek is even open to fishing this time of year.

B. Gray,

Thanks for the heads-up, but I was thinking more in terms of winter steelhead in the Icy Creek section of the Green.

I have not been there in years but you walk down the road and if the guy from the hatchery was going out and you had fish he would give you a ride. The reson I don't go is I hate that mile up hill walk to get out.

HSL, the path is unmarked but not hard to find. It is a salmon hatchery pond access road that is gated. It's about halfway between the Green River Gorge Resort and the Cumberland Bridge across the road from a gravel pit. The upper part was logged off a few years ago. As River Rat alluded, it isn't a pleasant walk back out.
