Hank mentioned progressives. Get ready, sters, because the backlash from this administration, whether it lasts 4 years or 8, is increasingly likely to be a hard swing in the far left direction. This is how Capitalist societies become Socialist; the harsh consequences of extreme nationalism (I'll call it Trumpism for effect) always lead societies to snap back in the other direction... Hard.

I'm not much more excited about the prospect of Socialism than Hank. I think healthcare should be socialized, but that's about it. That said, young progressives are winning primaries against more moderate Democrats, and that's solid evidence that the backlash is starting.

We need a moderate, third party, more now than ever. What made America great was an attitude that we were all in this together. Now, our attitude is that we all know best and that it's our call to force our ideas upon those who disagree. People who don't like the way this is headed (and want to avoid seeing it snap back in completely the opposite direction) need a platform. When both sides start calling for "civility," it's a sure bet that NOBODY is exercising any. Subsequently, given only two parties, divided we stand, with not much hope for a return to a great America.

I think you're right to say that most Americans don't like Socialism and would normally call for a rope anytime someone utters the word. I don't share your confidence that most people will recognize the coming shift before it's too late. I figure if we can elect someone like Trump to the White House, it's a safe bet most of us don't understand history's many lessons about extreme nationalism and isolationism. Why, then, should I expect my fellow citizens to recognize the warning signs that we're on our way to becoming a Socialist republic?

Hence my concern that the proverbial shark-jumping is apparently well underway.

Chair Goodlatte of the house judiciary committee stated Peter Strzok was questioned about the Clinton email and Russian –Trump collusion investigations because he was a central figure in both.

This was a closed door session that was in the 10th hour up before this interview and Goodlatte stated that Strzok’s FBI council had instructed Strzok to not answer many questions.

I haven't had a chance to watch any of the hearings the last couple of days, but Gowdy telling someone to move along with an investigation is the type of hypocrisy that we've come to accept as the new normal with the right wing. Mueller's investigation found more illegal activity in the first six minutes than Gowdy's did the entire time, and unlike Gowdy, Mueller hasn't had to doctor any documents to try and gin up support.

Chair Goodlatte House Judiciary Committee states in their latest open public hearing Rosenstein confirmed that he agrees with the findings of the IG report that there were many, many, missteps by the FBI into the investigation of various actions taken by Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State and Rosenstein confirms that there was extreme bias not only by Peter Strzok but Lisa Page and others in the department of the FBI that were identified in the report.

Therefore Goodlatte states this congressional investigation needs to move forward to look into what happened when Strzok moved from the Hillary investigation to the Trump-Russian collusion investigation.

Goodlatte states that Strzok will be back in front of the committee for a public hearing soon. Date being negotiated. Get the ready.

It sounds like lately the documents requested have been coming in better, but they need them all including the documents regarding communications within the DOJ which have not been produced.
