I want to meet the person that will actually take investment advice from RichG....aside from Evo. Not that either two actually owns any stocks from any company, let alone Google.

i dont know anything about stocks... but, im gonna invest in some next year i think, ill start off with a grand, and see what happens... gotta deal with Christmas first...

Google isn't a bad company to own stock in.

Neither is Apple, Amazon, Starbucks, Microsoft, Tesla, McDonalds, Altria Group, Hormel, Walgreens, FMC....


I recommend getting in to an investment club. Been doing that for the last 20 years and as a group, we've outperformed the market every year.

i have been talking to a buddy about it.... months ago he invested like 40 grand in a stock called Telray, which is a canadian pharm/marijuana company... well he bought in at around 25 bucks or so, and sold in September over 220 dollars per share...

he won a bunch of money in a settlement so he can do that, i dont have 40 grand to just play with... well, yet atleast, im hoping i can find one that can change that...

Katie has about 20 or 30 in bonds or whatever the fvck they are, and she wants to do it as well, but a different route...

You don't need 40 grand. What you need is time - or a seat in Congress.

i know i dont need that amount, plenty of people became millionaires by investing 1k in microsoft stock when it first came out and hung onto it....

if i would have dumped 1k into the Tilray stock, i would have reaped 9k from the 40 shares bought...

thats what im hoping i can do is find a company that will pay like that, and with it being legalized everywhere, there are bound to be others...

tech companies can be really tricky, sometimes they make a great product and disappear, and people lose in that scenario, i dont want to lose, but i guess thats all part of the game....

Don't be in a hurry, I feel the market will be sideways in 2019. Make sure you trade in a 401k or another tax shelter to avoid paying taxes on your earnings. If not make sure you keep your books accurate, profit and loses on all bought and sold stocks If not you'll have a cluster fck doing your tax return. They have some pretty good software to make it a lot easier. Good luck. Buying stocks are easy, selling is a different story. LOL

P.S Don't buy on margin, it's great if the stock is flying up, but terrible if going down. When I first started in 99' I got a margin call for 6k, you have to settle up quickly. There is a learning curve but not hard to get it. Buy stocks that give you dividend's if possible. And keep an eye on companies that are buying back their own stock.

The guy with a $10 role of Franklin Half dollars is going to have more than you dumb asses when this is all done. If you are relying on the market, a pension or cash reserves you are going to be screwed.
