My friend work at a fishing shop and he said that he would sell me a new 8wt G loumis flyrod with reel and floating line for $150. I was wondering if any of you guys have ever fly fished witha G. loumis before. Thanks.

Do it. Used an 8-wt Loomis Adventure series rod productively this summer for steelies--bottom of the line, but more than able to handle fish, even skanky ol' hog chum. But beware: you will soon find yourself passing up your favorite bait holes in search of prime fly water...
