A couple hundred Tomahawk's at over a million a pop will do work on any and every target Syria can employ. However, Syria does have 10 batteries of Buk-M2E Surface to Air missile systems. These are capable of intercepting a slow flying cruise missile which would be what we target them with. However, radar jamming and spoofing will make there systems completely worthless. Russia specifically built the SA-N-7C Gollum missile to deal with Western cruise missiles. I'm not exactly sure if Syria has these new missiles. Who knows with Russia though...They probably shipped them a few dozen a couple months back when they knew an attack was imminent. It gives Russia the ability to see if there systems actually work in combat.
IF we and are allies do anything, it needs to be limited to cruise missile and air strike attacks. Absolutely no boots on the ground. Well maybe a small team of Delta guys to take Assad out and a few platoons of Rangers to secure the chemical weapon sites... Then get the hell out of there. The last option won't happen though...

We need to stay outta this. If it was about protecting the civilians we should have went in a long time ago...
