Been going there since 2002.
Give Noe Ramon Druck Castro a call or email for your fishing needs. He operates a large boat as well as a panga. noe_ramon_cheers@hotmail.com Got his recommendation from Stonefish and he didn't disappoint.
I own a timeshare in Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos (Blanco) which sits next to the newer Pueblo Bonito Rose. Nice places and everyhing in the main town is within walking distance.
The Office isn't what it used to be once the Mango Deck moved in next door....so go to the Mango Deck and have a bucket of six.
I always do the timeshare presentation for Pueblo Bonito as I get a free breakfast, beers, and $400 bar credit. Pays for my beers and the kids smoothies.
Don't EVER talk to anyone IN the airport. Trust me. Get your bags, get out of customs and walk STRAIGHT out of the airport and to your shuttle that is awaiting you. The only people IN the airport are the timeshare sales pukes.
Remember that if *anyone* in Cabo seems nice, offers to help, give directions, etc, they are going to come after you with a timeshare speel. Screw that.
If you're old like me, go to the Cabo Wabo. Classic 2nd Gen Classic Rock Bar with overpriced drinks, a great house band, and old rocker chicks in mini skirts dancing up in the cages, etc. If you time it right, you might even get to see Sammy Hagar play there. I've seen him play there times now.
Forget the Gigglin Marlin and those other stupid tourist bars. The local breweries are good.
The Crazy Lobster is a great place to casually eat and if you offer up a shot of tequila for the owners/workers there, they will be your best friends for life. Avoid the Marina area for restaurants, as that's where all the cruise ship wonks loiter.
Actually, I stay out of town when the cruise ships are in port. Man, if there was ever a person that screamed out to the rest of the world:
"I'm a fat-fucktarded, lazy ass, rude, American!", than I don't know what does. If you're the person that says 'I like cruise ships.", that says a lot about you to me.....
