I was wondering, what lakes are good for fishing in this area? I have found a couple, but I want to start fishing some different lakes in this area. Also, what time of year is good, and what baits are good? Anything will help Thanks

I have always believed there is no substitute for going to the local fishing (fly or otherwise) shop and buying a couple bucks of stuff and having a friendly conversation. You get the up to the minute info that way.

You probably know this, but the Morning Hatch in Tacoma is a real good fly shop. They've always been able to answer my fly fishing questions. If you haven't visited that shop, you might give it a try.

Well, there are quite a few good lakes for trout fishing. Give me an email and I'll give you the rundown on a few. There are a couple yearround lakes that produce some nice trout. You said you were mostly doing bait in a previous post, so the Morning Hatch may be out of your league. It's a good shop, but for fly fishing.

I'd also be very wary about going to some of the "local" sporting good shops around us (I'm from Tacoma also). You get more bad info then you will good info. I have seen WAY too many times customers being sold gear that was not needed for fishing they were doing. Then the rivers and slots they were told to fish were wrong.

As I said, give me an email. I can help you with what you'll need and where to go. I'm up in Brown's Point, so if all else fails we could hookup and I can show you what you need.

Good luck.
