Did you see or hear of any other fish caught? Did the river come up after the rains we had? What was the visibility like?

I fished up at metzlers today and it was dead. There wasn't a steelhead hooked all morning. All I heard of was a boat said that they had lost one. As for the water, it was up a little and pretty colored up. Hey Sturza if you dont mind me asking what part did you fish today? email me if you like.

fished both sat and sunday on the green, water was clear sat but after the rains sat night it was a lil murky colored sunday but i did manage to hook one and lost it, dint set the hook hard enough, but atleast i managed to hook one, question, when using corkies do you guys stick a toothpick in the corky to keep it closer to the the hook, i found this to be more productive, anyone else? see ya on the river **schitzo**

I was fishing with a friend who also landed a chum plus a hatchery steelhead. He got chum on a jig and the steelhead on eggs and a corkie. Didn't hear of our see any other fish caught. Also I don't put a toothpick in the corkie because your rig should be drifting downstream of your weight therefore the corkie will slide down on to the eye of the hook. Place a bead right above the eye. Provides a bigger gap equaling more hookups.
Good luck.

Talked to a buddy of mine who is a fish Bioligist he told me that the Muckleshoots got quit of few fish in there nets last night. So be expecting some fish to push up the system in the next couple of days. Good luck!

I fish corkys often and only stake it when I'm using bait with the corky, for example eggs. I've found that the weight of the bait will cause the hook to sink and make the corky slid up the leader.

tried something new this last weekend on the crummie that seemed to work good. Instead of
pickin my corkie I put a loop down through my corkie and pulled my yarn up though the corkie it no only made it look good it also held my corkie in place and was better than tyin the yarn on the line. Saw it in this months STS.

Tight lines

Kevin
